I would love to see Klopps style implemented on our current squad. We have good players easily capable of finishing top 4 they just need better guidance and to play with greater belief.

Klopp gives players huge belief. And his gegenpressing and counter attack style would be extremely effective in the PL which is a tactically poor league.

I don't understand the same people saying FSG are wanting us to buy cheap and sell big are the same people supporting Klopp. I mean if ever there was a template manager for buying cheap and selling big it's him. He built a world class Dortmund team on the cheap but don't forget he sold them all too (bar Reus).

Personally I think he's the only option out there, can't see Carlo coming in at his age now.

Could be, he's also finish 2nd a few times also and reached another CL final (as we know) so there's the argument that so much success can have impact on other competitions.

Personally I look at him as the most proven manager out there without a question but he's nearing the end of his career and in Klopp I see a manager that might actually deliver for a long time with us. That 'legacy' option, where he wouldn't just win one but win many is the appeal for me.

Personality, I like both of them for their individual reasons and I honestly think that either will be accepted wholeheartedly by the fan base.

Echoes my thoughts mate, either will do for me and I will be very dissapointed if it's a different candidate who gets the job.

Ancelotti's record is top drawer and I suspect that he would attract some real quality to the club were he to come ie. I believe he could attract players that otherwise might not have come (without top four). I've always liked the way his teams play, he strikes as a class act and his players always play for him plus he knows the EPL. The downside is that he has had his success at clubs right at the top with some big budgets, often the biggest on their respective leagues.

I know less about Klopp but he would certainly fit the owners approach and strikes me as someone who likes to be an underdog and thrives on the tag. No mean feat to win a Bundesliga title when your name isn't Bayern Munich so to do it twice is pretty special. Also his pressing style is very similar to the one Brendan inexplicably abandoned over the past 12 months so the players wouldn't have too much trouble adapting.

I just hope this board can convince the man they want to come and that the man they want is one of these two. I really do. Not interested in De Boer.

I may be wrong, but I get the impression that De Boer is looking for another stepping stone onto Barca etc. Not sure why I get that impression but it's a big turn off for me.

Also completely agree with you about Klopp and the pressing style, we have the engines in our squad to implement that style and I think he might be a bit better at identifying which layers aren't quite up to scratch (a bit of the nasty about him too).

Winning Bundesliga, getting Dortmund to the CL final (beating Real on the way)? Is that not experience enough?

      Compared to Rodgers no

Compared to Rafa, Ancelotti? Its nothing.

      Klopp is my ideal choice.

      I'd still love Ancelotti.

And after that there  are still quite a few coaches who I'd like to see here with Emery and  De Boer among them.

Could be wrong but I get the impression he's winding down now, especially with the health problems.

Maybe he's sick of short term clubs (chelski, madrid, psg)  and is looking to go somewhere with long term goals and stay for a while?

Whoever is due to be crowned will have seen how bad we have been playing and will have his own formulas in his suitcase when he arrives at Melwood..
Your not gonna tell me that no manager in the world hasn't dreamt of walking through the Shankly gates and taking control of the team..
They will know straight away after a couple of training sessions who's in and who's out..

Be interesting to see who out of Rodgers signings stays and plays for the new manager and see's his contract out -
or does a runner in January to his new club.

If Klopp is their choice there isn't a chance we're only going to approach him tomorrow as I've read somewhere. That will already have been done.

Ah well. Either way its better than what we had before.

If its Klopp i hope we get off to a good start because if its bad it might be a struggle.

We need an elite  manager for our elite club.

      Never wavered on Klopp .

      Ancelotti has the experience.
      Simeone as an outside punt.

Has a rag bag of players to sort out before year end.
Its very possible to get us into the top four by May.... damage for the season is limited at this point in time.

Needs to get Stevie and Carra back into the fold by next summer.

      Things feel differently this evening.

      Just wondering:

Klopp has had a hair transplant
      He's been married twice
      He's a devout Christian.

Judging by some of the highly personal comments you threw Rodgers way regarding personal matters, Klopp is a sitting duck ain't he?

      Prefer Klopp.
      Would rather Ancellotti.

Reason being we need to get this one right. We need to win trophies.

      Klopp for my heart
      Ancellotti for my head.

This is where I'm at as well. Hardest decision all week for me. :( I have a feeling Carlo will guarantee us trophies, but Klopp just fits Liverpool like a glove. Tough choice for me.
