Brendan Rodgers signings get injured a lot?

Not sure what I'm supposed to do with either of those lists.

Fitness coach: This is why Jürgen Klopp's teams lose finals

DUTCH coach Raymond Verheijen, who has worked with the Wales national team in the past, has given his thoughts on why Jürgen Klopp's teams fall short in big games at the end of the season.
By Colin Harvey  /   Published 7th October 2016

The German boss has managed to get Liverpool to two finals already in his 12 months on Merseyside but neither went to plan.

Sevilla put Liverpool to the sword 3-1 in the Europa League final back in May and Manchester City beat Klopp's men 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the League Cup.

And Verheijen says that is a pattern he expects to see continuing following injuries to Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren last weekend.
"There is a reason why Klopp is the manager who has lost the most cup finals”
      Raymond Verheijen

On Twitter, he wrote: "Jürgen Klopp, fantastic coach.

"Great in developing a playing style but does not have a clue about the principles of periodisation.

"Liverpool again suffered double muscle injury blow last weekend.

"And they do not even have to play midweek European games.

"Many injured Liverpool players withdrew from national team. Imagine how big injury crisis would have been if Liverpool had played in Europe?

"Because of Klopp's intense training and playing style, it's very likely the Liverpool players will struggle in the last months of this season.

"It's important for young coaches to know there is a reason why Klopp is the manager who has lost the most cup finals at the end of a season.

"A lesson young coaches can learn from Klopp's mistake: Intense training is crucial to improve players but plan moment/amount very carefully."
      http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/551684/Liverpool-news-Jürgen-Klopp-Verheijen

Not the first criticism from Verheijen who ever he is!

I do think we have a lot of muscle injuries, but maybe that's the price we pay for winning games? I would rather win games rather than lose them because we don't want to risk injuries (at least the important games anyway).

      Daily Star? Really???

Only they would report the words of a failed Wales coach and treat it as gospel.

Verheijen would have footballers resting 365 days a year if he could.

I wish he would give his mouth and my ears a F***ing winter break.

      They make people delirious.

Like comparing Brendan's management to Jürgen's.

Brendan took over a healthier team after Kenny rebuilt the club, fans and playing squad. Jürgen had to pick us up from the sh*t show that Rodgers left.

       :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Joe Cole, Aquilani, Downing, Johnson, Shelvey, Spearing, Suso, Coates, Charlie Adam, Carroll the hits just kept on coming :D

Brendan also had to replace a living legend who almost everyone hadn't wanted to go, while Jürgen only had to replace a failure that almost everyone including myself was happy to see go.

Some people like to live in a fantasy world and pretend, then there's the rest of us that can see both sides.

I certainly wouldn't want to go back to Brendan, I am more than happy with Jürgen, but so far their league stats are very similar. Jürgen finished 8th in the league last season in probably the weakest league in years.

Just because you don't like the facts doesn't make them any less true.  :f_wah:

The facts are everyone is happier than they were just over a year ago . We are no longer afraid of these called big teams ,  we are playing football with a style again , and we have a manager who actually enjoys and knows what he is doing fck all the arguments off it's fckin tedious and boring , we are on the up no need to look.back Brendan's last year was absolute sh*t but it's gone and done .

Nah mate, you are confusing your opinion with facts.

I am happy with Jürgen, but I am not going to pretend that we have done wonderfully well in the league when we haven't. We have a lot to look forward to in my opinion, but you judge improvement from where you were not on where you would like, or think you might be.

We are playing great at the moment, we played great under Brendan in the nearly season too.

Spot on Andy,it is good to have confidence in the manager and the players once again. It seems a long time since it has been this way.

Be nice to see the comparison after 3 years won't it mate. See how they compare when both managers have shaped their squad.

Id expect there to be a big difference based on the current shape of the squad.

Me too mate, I think Jürgen will be way ahead by then, hopefully with a couple of trophies to show for it too.

Basically the stats are close but in Klopps favour. I think however we are on an upward curve and there is even more improvement in this squad.

Brendan (working with the TC) couldn't find a way to replace Suarez, and after Luis went his stats were going south big time. Lack of goals, lack of wins. Now under Klopp we look a force again and he has found a way now to score goals and win games without the individual brilliance of Luis and and a firing Daniel Sturridge.

Give it 6 months and the stats could well be in clear favour of Jürgen.

No real argument to be had really. We were stale under BR, in the league last year Klopp didnt have a huge impact reults wise, but in his first full season you can see the impact now.

Pretty much spot on that mate. The main thing Jürgen has brought me is expectation, something in all honesty I never really had with Brendan even in the nearly season. Under Brendan it was all about Suarez for me, now we are much less reliant on one or two players... we have a team!

      They make people delirious.

Like comparing Brendan's management to Jürgen's.

Brendan took over a healthier team after Kenny rebuilt the club, fans and playing squad. Jürgen had to pick us up from the sh*t show that Rodgers left.

I think you're forgetting the threadbare rabble of a squad BR inherited, the TC left BR with Suarez as the only senior striker until Sturridge came. He had to clear out the dross of Adam, Carroll etc with limited funds to rebuild after the monies wasted by KK and Comolli
Jürgen has said himself he inherited a good bunch of players and that has proven to be his true feelings given the limited amount of changes he's made in 2 windows he wouldn't have even taken the job when BR joined given the state of the team

Whatever it's equivalent was then....remember the whole Clint Dempsey stuff, loaning out Carroll and not having a replacement lined up....also Sturridge and Coutinho signed 6 months later and popular consensus is they weren't BR signings

Yeah it was John Henry who had to apologise for us not bringing in a striker. :)

Nah mate im not judging anything on my own opinion as that is all it is same as yours , I base mine on how we are playing and how the mood of the fans has changed , granted its still only potential , but the way it feels in the ground and the way the gaffer conducts himself is a million miles from the days of the self pitying Brendan but thats all been done , I'll just enjoy the ride the ups and the downs ,

Already posted the facts all you have done is cry about them.

Surely our European & domestic cup finals should show Klopp in a more favourable light in his first season as manager than Rodgers? & maybe if Rodgers was not too cut throat in realeasing 'experienced' players that won us a cup & played in another final under Kenny, Rodgers first season would have been much better?..

Factor in that Rodgers already had experience of the PL & new his way around the country whilst playing in league/FA cup games whereas  Klopp was parachuted in without any experience of the EPL...
