Fair play to the fella for taking it on, although we all love Liverpool a lot of managers wouldn't have touched it with a bargepole. He could have had just about any job in world football if he was prepared to wait a bit, probably for much more money and certainly with an easier task on his hands.
I just hope that all this positivity lasts even when we lose a match, even when he selects a player we don't particularly like, even when he says something in a press conference which can be construed in a way we don't like. If we're honest we've lost our way as a club, and it isn't just on the pitch either. We wouldn't win the Premiership based on squad quality but we ought to have a chance of getting into the top four. Being brutal about it, these days we'd be relegation candidates if we were making a league table up of how much noise the fans of Home teams make, it's time it changed.
At last we have a manager who EVERYONE believes in, there ought to be no more agendas, back stabbing, snide remarks and embarrassing behaviour. We've got the right man now, lets trust him to do his job and support him to the hilt however it pans out initially. For him to have the best chance of success he's going to need the players, the ones we've already got. Some of them some of us don't like, but just like the supporters now have a clean slate so do those players too. My guess is one or two will leave their previous form well behind (lets face it they'll need to).
This could be the dawn of a new era, we all have our part to play.
