In fairness to Clint - he’s not one I’d usually associate with that.

There does definitely seem to be a strange schism is the relationship with the boss at the minute.

Seems for a good number if you’re positive re how he’s doing then you’re either misinterpreting the situation or have some hugging fetish......

      Weird, huh?

Nice for Jürgen to be able to shuffle the pack and bring about such an impressive performance and result. Will have allayed the fears of those who thought he was tactically unwavering and showed what he has always said, the players available dictate the formation, not the other way around.

I know people get a bit stuck up about the way we play 4-3-3 so consistently but when you look at the players and the balance we have available, plus the results to back it up then I find it's hard to argue we should be shifting from it any time soon. Continue to develop it, find the right pieces such as Keita etc and dominate.

Problem right now is I've never seen a team like City, to be fair to the boss I think we need to judge without City as they are freakish. Of course the ultimate aim is to beat them for the league but in terms of progress, I think we need to judge ourselves against last season to get the fairest reflection and on that basis we're doing alright so far.

I strongly fancy us for top 4, think we may get 2nd at the rate we're going but unfortunately, unless City throw it away there's very little chance of anyone catching them this season as they just look a truly well balanced team who have everything clicking and for that I have to give credit to Guardiola who I've thought was a bit overrated. While of course he's buying titles, he's showing he knows how to mould a truly successful team and that's deserving of praise.

      You might be right.

Pochettino is getting it tight from some of the Spuds contingent my mate at work was telling me.

I mean, I have no issue discussing the finer points of the boss’s decisions, but it seems like in a 5-1 drubbing, maybe it’s time to enjoy it a bit and give Jürgen a week to enjoy it as well :)

I'm not criticising Klopp, I'm saying saying that Milner was more capable to settle into his new role quicker than Wijnaldum. Even Wijnaldum said it himself, that he struggled as LCB.

Thanks Scotia. I was just trying to state my opinion and it was not a criticism towards Klopp. If I had the same issue as a manager, I would put Milner not Wijnaldum.

Guys give me a chance! I'm not one who is always arguing or party pooper.

      Agree.

There are times I think he has got things wrong but to be honest after a 5-1 win I couldn't really care what didn't go exactly right in that game.

Should have just given up the ciggies, would have been cheaper in the short and long run.

Congratulations to the manager for getting the club back in to the serious end of Europe's biggest competition for the first time in 9 years.

Without a shadow of a doubt our best manager since Benitez and hopefully he can go on to be our best manager since prime Dalglish.

I can't think of anybody who could be a better fit for us right now.
