Have you ever played the game ?

You decide who to mark and move where he goes !!!

Why yes I have, and coached, but thank you for the condescending question.

Pretty sure most every team I've been on the backs have been assigned to one side or the other, rather than following someone around the pitch.

      How's magical Mourinho now Keith?

Where was the individual preparation for Sevilla then hardcore?

Goes to prove utter F***ing nonsense Saturday was no masterclass it was horrible hoof yard dog football by one of the most pathetic managers in world football.

Tottaly agree with your comments, especially Young owning Salah. To keep your best player out of the game was clearly a master stroke from the magical Mourhino tactical genius from a defensive point of view.

      Oh Keith.

You don't even need to play or coach to know CB's rarely/never man marking these days.. actually, has there ever been a game where a CB has done a man marking role? I think a commentator the other day or so mentioned it happening back in the days, but I don't recall.

Yeah i remember it usually being an extra midfielder doing the marking, but in the old days man-marking meant almost literally following the guy everywhere he went.

Nowadays they are pretty big on left-footed and right-footed balance, with the defender being able to make a quick outlet/transition pass with his strong foot. The center backs aren't criss-crossing back and forth based on where a particular forward is going.

Goes to prove utter f**king nonsense Saturday was no masterclass it was horrible hoof yard dog football by one of the most pathetic managers in world football.

How this proves that Saturday's masterclass was nonsense is totally beyond me. I never said it was a masterclass, i said he specifically prepared for a specific opponent and got the job done.

How you can compare the Premier League game on Saturday and the Champions League game from last night is beyond me, seriously?

Two different teams, two different approaches, two completely different challenges.

Porto: Primeira Liga 2002/03, 2003/04, Taça de Portugal 2002/03, Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira 2003, UEFA Champions League 2003/04, UEFA Cup 2002/03.

      Chelsea: Premier League 2004/05, 2005/06, 2014/15, FA Cup 2006/07, League Cup 2004/05, 2006/07, 2014/15, Community Shield 2005.

Inter Milan: Serie A 2008/09, 2009/10, Coppa Italia 2009/10, Supercoppa Italiana 2008, UEFA Champions League 2009/10.

Real Madrid: La Liga 2011/12, Copa del Rey 2010/11, Supercopa de España 2012.

Manchester United: Community Shield 2016, League Cup 2016/17, UEFA Europa League 2016/17.

Hardly what i'd class as a pathetic manager Dadorious.

I never said that you called it a masterclass you were banging on about individual match preparation and as you say  he's ability to prepare for specific opponents and I am calling you out on that. In the context of things I am pretty sure he would have taken progression in the CL over a win for 2nd or 3rd place in the league, having watched both games now of United's it is clear that he failed to as you say prepare for specific opponents because he played the same sh*t on a stick football as he did on Saturday. Given Sevilla's style of play and performance in the first leg, coupled with their home advantage not getting the preparation right to get the best out of your squad and nullify the opposition is a spectacular failure.

As for his record he is a cheque book Tony Pulis who has been found out and should take the lion share of playing a significant hand in taking the joy and excitement out of football.

He is also a massive c**t too boot.

He took the piss out of Pep, that's for sure. In our last two games against them we've scored 7? Hope they enjoy their title this year.....they aren't going to win anything else for a long time.

We've come a long way from him being "questioned" after coming away from Arsenal with a point, and rash calls to be "sacked" after the trip to Spurs. And even further from the draw at home to Bournemouth last year, when many then said we wouldn't get a top 4 spot, let alone a last 4 spot.

Attacking exciting football, and goals goals more goals. It may not be perfect, but that's why football is the biggest sport in the world. It works at every level.
