Liverpool 1-1 Rubin Kazan: In game and Post Match debates
      Oct 22, 2015 06:51:05 pm

      Anfield waiting for Klopp

Starting XI: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi.

Subs: Bogdan, Toure, Benteke, Firmino, Lucas, Ibe, Randall.

Jürgen Klopp has made one change to his team for his first home game as Liverpool manager against Rubin Kazan tonight.

Joe Allen has been drafted in to replace Lucas Leiva in what is an otherwise unchanged starting line-up to the side that took to the field against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

However, the Reds’ bench is bolstered by the presence of Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino following injury.

I liked the idea that Lucas was rested because he is massive for us for next Sunday.

Good team and glad that I see Benteke and Firmino on the bench.

Taking this serious, good to see.

      Agreed, as it should be.

Good strong line-up, buzzing for this, should be a brilliant atmosphere and just can't wait to see what a bit more time with Jürgen has brought out of these lads.

Focus for me will be on the defence, it's the main 5, hope the organisation is up another level and the communication is clear. Expecting a relatively comfortable night as these are a pretty poor side judging by their league form and goals tally, so a couple of goals at a minimum and maybe a couple more than that, here's hope.

      Come on Redmen!!

Strong team. Hopefully that means we are starting to take the UEL seriously again, which was one of my main criticisms of Rodgers and one of the things he never got right during his time at LFC.

Let's go all the way here. COYR

Won't be able to watch the game (at least part of it) as I'm still at work but I'd like to take a look at Rubin Kazan's Carlos Eduardo. He was once touted to be a star but after a couple of nasty injuries he's become a shadow of himself. His last club in Brazil was Flamengo, I watched him regularly and he was absolutely awful - his legs are gone, he's too slow and simply wasn't good enough. No idea of how he's doing in Russia these days though!
