Typical that the only striker who hasn't scored and doesn't look likely to, is fit as a butchers f**king dog.

Even Balotelli out on loan is injured :)

Depressing. Like having Daniel O Donnell leading a Navy Seals task force at the moment.

It's time to think about the prospect of Firminho playing there for most of the season (if he can stay fit), he's got the opportunity now to make this position his own.

Might be better playing Joe Allen there. At least if he gets injured no one cares.

F**k off, hopefully these aren't credible rumours?

As so many were saying in the transfer thread it was a massive gamble going for someone with injury issues when we had Sturridge too. You can gamble once, but doing it while you're short handed already was stupidity.

3 strikers out injured and one only just returning though is absolutely rotten luck.

      Edit:

      Just seen this tweet:

Christian Benteke has become the latest casualty in  Klopp's striker crisis after suffering a medial knee ligament injury. (Paul Joyce)

So hopefully not nearly as bad as an ACL but still could be a while depending on the grade of the injury.

The Liverpool manager knows his player well from Germany and he believes he was for a period the best player in the Bundesliga last year.

“Last time with Brazil he played as a nine, usually he plays in offensive midfield or second striker or he can come from the wing, he can play in the centre. He’s a pretty skilled player.

“There was some time, I would say one year ago, when he was for a few months for sure the best player in the Bundesliga.

      Maybe Firmino?

Yeah that's not a bad shout mate, I still wonder if he has strength to play up there, he has looked quite lightweight so far but he was bright at the weekend. But I do like the pace and power that Ibe brings to the table, he would offer some genuine pace on the break as well.

We are just going to have to hope Firmino is capable there.

Not in a million years is Origi going to do it for us - I'd just laugh if I see him starting against Chelsea. His performance against Southampton was one of the worst performances I've seen at Liverpool in years - and that really IS saying something.

With Chelsea & Arsenal going out yesterday there is a possibility of winning something here ....... Imagine Klopp winning a trophy so quickly

Grab a couple of strikers from the U19's and stick Suarez masks on them. If it doesn't work against Bournemouth.... its bound to at least terrorise Ivanovic on the weekend.

Yep, apparently it's just a ligament strain - my bad

It's time for our REDMEN to show Jürgen  Klopp that they know how to put the ball in the opposition net and stop the ball from going into our net. Come on lads stop F***ing around and get the job done and set us on our way to our first trophy of the season.

I'm not even going to attempt to guess at the line up.
I'm losing track of who's injured, who's suspended and who needs rested. 😡

I'm hoping Sinclair gets a go. I saw him for the U21s against Chelsea at Aldershot. He's not the quickest, not the strongest and not the most technically gifted but he seems to have a knack of getting into the right place at the right time. With the right quality around him, I feel optimistic.

Randall and Ibe have been in the 18 the past couple of weeks so if we're going down the youngsters route then surely both of them will be starting?

Give Origi the first half and then bring on Firmino in the second with Coutinho behind him to get set up for Saturday, it seems like Benteke will be out.

I might even be tempted to keep Origi on in the second half and move him out wide as one thing he has is pace.
