      Like I said, I would rather have 3 30mil players over 6 15mil players

I'd prefer we got 3-6 players that suited us for the £90m, irrespective of price.

Would love to see a Matip Sakho partnership! With Ward behind them and Clyne and flannagan either side!

Why the sudden obsession with Ward?

Don't you know, he bossed the Scottish league so he's the next Casillas!

I have never seen him play mate so I've have no idea if he's better than Migs but I would like to test that on Saturday.

Yea I wouldn't mind seeing what he'd do against better competition either but I get what mcarz is saying, some on here worshipping at the alter of Ward as if he is our messiah. ;D

It is strange mate but I think many are so keen to see he back of Migs that they'd throw anyone in nets.

The calls for Bogdan earlier this season were a prime example. Many in here had convinced themselves Bogdan was better than Migs when he clearly wasn't.

You're right. He wasn't better at all. But we needed to find out as Migs has been so poor aside from the two penalty stops the other night.

When he got his new deal and Jürgen talked about him it was clear he isn't going anywhere so its pointless thinking otherwise. We need him to improve but then that can be said of the back four also. A few clean sheets would do all of them the world of good.

      Joe Rimmer reports -

Schalke’s general manager Horst Heldt said: “We have agreed to an appointment [with the player’s advisor] which will take place soon. I remain in good spirits and I hope that we can convince Joel to stay at Schalke. Concerning an agreement with another club, I know nothing.”

No way they pay him £100k a week which is what he would get here.

People were using his signing in the summer as defence for FSG and the TC. It's clear now there is nothing in place at all.

Well reports that he has signed a pre contract agreement.

Let's hope he is better than the buffoons at the back we have at the moment.

      Hey RB

So me not knowing anything about this lad but always looking for what respected posters think....can you give me or us a quick summation of this lad and what he will bring to LFC?

Sorry mate, only just read this. He's a dominant CB, loses very little aerially and isn't short of confidence on the ball either. Reason why he's not considered one of the best is because he's quite rash sometimes, often dives in and tries to win the ball when it's not really on. He's got great pace too which will be useful in the high line that we play.

How reliable are they though? Seems strange seeing nothing from any reliable British journalist yet an Italian source is reporting something between a German and English club.

If true this is great news. Obviously I've never seen the bloke play, but it would appear to be a Jürgen Klopp pick rather than a TC one so I'm all for it. I thought we'd lost this lad through our f****** about, so if we haven't it's great news.
