Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus defender Martin Caceres, according to reports in Italy.

Sport Mediaset claim that boss Jürgen Klopp has identified the Uruguayan as a target in January, with Liverpool currently struggled with injuries.

Caceres' current contract expires at the end of the season.

I might think this one is true,or at least hope so because we are in desperate need of a defender.

Experienced, versatile, and most likely affordable with only 6 months left on his contract.  Seems to check all the boxes....

He was pretty good couple seasons ago but seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth.

Quick Google says he was suspended by the club after crashing his Ferrari in to a bus stop and was drink driving. Made his comeback this past week. On that note, F**k him. What an idiot.

He may be an idiot..... but he'd be an idiot with an able body, which is better than what we have at the minute....

He's barely played in the last 18months.

But he's fit and ready to play now, which is better than the 11 players we currently have injured can offer.

I'm not advocating for him, but he makes sense on a few levels.  Versatile, experienced, affordable, and immediately available

He'd be a signing for the sake of it in a desperate attempt.

Good player but wasn't aware of why he had, as crouchie put it, vanished off the face of the Earth.

If I remember correctly, Quico (our Uruguayan poster) was a big fan of him
