Trent’s strength has never been that he runs non stop. He’s never been Bobby Firmino. He’s got a hell of a right peg and an eye for a pass that few others have. He’s been working as an extra midfielder in a midfield that’s been a work in progress all year and working with a defense that’s been one level above horseshit if we are being honest. So I’m not willing to throw the baby out with the bath water to follow some narrative that Trent doesn’t care or isn’t putting in effort. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does under a new system.

In those last 15 minutes they were two levels below horseshit ;D. Fair enough I guess. Again, I really wanna see Trent thrown into a double pivot and watch him flourish. I think when you tell him you're going to have the ball more and have to run and defend less, he's gonna buy in and we will see Trent 2.0

A Liverpool FC legend or a Delle Alli it''s you yourself to decide Trent.
Do what you are doing this whole season and I fear your new coach decide to let you go.
One thing for sure is not many coach in this football world has such a patient and loyal to his player like Klopp.

      Delle Alli ?! Wtf

No coach will let him go and there is a reason why it’s rumoured Madrid will be after him

New manager will do him good as things are just drifting for him now. Attacking output decreasing and the same defensive issues.

He doesn’t work as an inverted full back that’s for sure - Slot will have a decision to make though about whether he tries him properly in midfield or makes him a right back again.

I know I've said it before on here but if I were Slot I'd be looking to mould him back into a great attacking full back.

In the right system, and could be Slot's 4 2 3 1, Trent could once again be one of Europe's best right backs.

Think Trent has been caught in between two positions in his own mind. I agree get him and Robbo back to flying down the touchline we were devastating playing this way

Doesnt matter what the system is. Hes lazy defensively, end of story. He needs to work harder. He needs to improve his weaknesses. Thats what great players do. A free kick, cross etc doesnt cover the rest.

There are those who think i knock him for the sake of it. I knock him because he can do alot better because his talent is clear. Pity he just doesnt have the work ethic to go with it.

New start next season. So we start from zero. I want to see a player next season who looks like hes worked hard over the summer to improve his all round game. Thats all i ask. Because if he carrys on as is il be all over him again. Alternatively if there is improvement then il happily give credit for that. I want him to be the best he can be. That is all.

Whether he stays or does end up going, I'd be completely fine either way. Carlo is a known admirer of the guy so it's very possible we could be tempted to sell if the right offer came.

I feel like we sacrifice so much of our build up play so we can let Trent implement his style on games and when it works it's great but in all honesty this season has been some of the worst football we've played under Klopp since Klopp really made this team his own, I'd rather just go back to the days when we had a RB playing at RB that could balance their defensive and offensive contribution.

You are awesome Trent and a kid of and for Liverpool. He's achieved so much and hopefully will continue to achieve so much for us in future.

His journey from youth hopeful to all conquering star is maybe the most satisfying individual story to have come from Jürgen's Liverpool.

Seemed a broken man today after the full time whistle. Hopefully a case of struggling to see Jürgen leave as I'm sure they have a very special relationship.

As I said above, I think a new manager will be good for him in the long run and I hope he doesn't angle for a move away this summer.
