I just don't understand why some notables get knighted whilst 'as successful' peers do not. Especially when you consider the charity work Dalglish does

Isn't there something supporters can do to remedy this, a petition of sorts?

He's the King of the Kop

We all know he's not a real king like.

I genuinely don't know if you're a wind up or just thick.

He's the greatest player to ever play for us and for that is rightly adored and playfully called King Kenny.. For you to post what you posted just makes me wonder what you're trying to achieve. Constant slagging off of the club, saying we aren't good enough whilst taking up other clubs and now the audacity to post that silly sh*te about Kenny and not even spell his name right

      Proper ball bag you

I think our stance as away from the country and the outspoken views of the governments, especially the Tories probably goes against our people getting these

      Not sure Kenny's arsed anyway

       f*ck the authorities and media
we can do it ourselves. we can refer (when mentioned) in this forum to them  as SIR Kenny Dalglish. or SIR Bob Paisley or SIR Bill Shankly
They are legends , kings, immortal heroes  for us , so we just name them SIR ourselves

      F**k knighthoods.

Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish are well above any tawdry meaningless knighthood. It's merely Man Utd being the darlings of the establishment that's all - hardly a glorious acknowledgement to be honest.

Have a look at the majority of folk who got knighted - bankers, ex-politicians, Jimmy Savile and Alex Ferguson.

Now we wouldn't want Shanks, Bob and King Kenny in with that lot now would we?

I don't think we, or they, need acknowledgement from an outdated establishment to know they are great and honourable men.

Sir William, Sir Robert and Sir Kenneth doesn't sound right, to us they will always be Shanks, Bob and the King.

For me, it's probably equal parts an acknowledgement of his achievement and perplexing that he hasn't been given one

Perhaps Kenny doesn't care, but I'll bet he'd enjoy holding up that medal at the Palace and giving them that grin of his

I think Kenny is a good bloke, but he is not a member of royalty. Does he deserve a Knighthood? I think so... then people could call him Sir Kenny Dalgleish which is an actual title. I guess I am just a literal person, but fighting talk? honestly... is that how you see the fans? we aren't thugs and what you just said is far more serious than anything I've said and fans who solve debates with violence are in no way representing the great football club.

If you can't figure out why he has that name or bother to learn how to spell his name right then you've no place on this forum as far as I'm concerned.

Context is everything, and in the context of LFCReds any more posts like that will see you're posting rights removed.

King Kenny would want it that way.

Shanks with his socialist principles would have told them where they could stick it. I doubt Bob would have wanted the fuss. I think the suggestion that an award for the King would be as much about an award for Lady Marina are right but if that's the case she deserves it in her own right!

Even the mancs call him King Kenny. while a liverpool supporter argues about why "the King?" well, i have no words

Do they, since when? Must of missed that one, cos there's no way I could ever see any manc referring to Kenny as "King"

      Don't they call cuntandahalf that?

If you can't figure out why he has that name or bother to learn how to spell his name right then you've no place on this forum as far as I'm concerned.

Context is everything, and in the context of LFCReds any more posts like that will see you're posting rights removed.

King Kenny would want it that way.

2.1 DO NOT TROLL - The spirit of the forum has been maintained because of our determination to remove users who engage in baiting, trolling and deliberately winding up other users.  We have banned a number of members even with very high post counts on the forum and will do so again.

I am somewhat bemused that I have been disciplined for replying to the moron in more colourful terms than yourself, even though it is acknowledged that the aforesaid moron is in the practice of winding up and baiting members of the forum.
That being the case it does leave me to wonder why the instigator himself comes out of the exchange untouched.
Questioning the status of a Liverpool legend is in itself entirely unacceptable and something no genuine LFC supporter would dream of doing.

When will Ringo get the just praise he deserves?! Those drums on Here Comes The Sun, Tomorrow Never Knows, those drum fills in A Day In The Life....just wonderful!

Totally! Ringo is a class drummer and is as much of a drummer's drummer as there is.

Should we tell him what the Kop nicknamed Fowler ?? I am sure he will have a brilliant opinion on that !

I think I just expressed myself badly that's all. What I meant was I find almost all nicknames cheesy for everyone, but that's just me. However I think Sir Kenny Dalglish, would have a good ring to it. Also I apologise for the miss spelling of the name before. I could have sworn it had an e in it but I guess not.

Getting back to the 'sentiment' behind the opening post and away from the simple schizo [convinced it's two separate posters under one username]...

Yeah Rushy - the selection process for knighthoods is a F***ing joke but you must remember the whores who 'select' are totally out of touch with the common man; their knowledge of the game limited to what the media promote. The 'media' [Murdoch's minions] have no time for anything L.F.C.

It's, sadly, as simple and transparent as that.

Shanks with his socialist principles would have told them where they could stick it. I doubt Bob would have wanted the fuss. I think the suggestion that an award for the King would be as much about an award for Lady Marina are right but if that's the case she deserves it in her own right!

      Exactly.

We all make mistakes.  But that previous post can really wind us all up.  Because he is our King that is what the KOP named him and that is what he lived up to.   Suarez left we became a mid table team.  Keegan left we got the King and got better and better.

nobody associated with our club who thinks the way we do would want anything to do with that system. being a liverpool legend and an ambassador for the city and it's people is so much greater then doing what is asked of you by a system and being rewarded with "knighthood". that is nothing to do with culture or community but selfishness and greed.

Whether or not you agree with the principles of an archaic system that benefits the wealthy and their pals and subservients, the cold light of day shows that Kenny especially has been overlooked for far too long when it comes to a knighthood. Look at some of those that have been granted it. Complete wastes of oxygen in every sense. Then The King. Hero to many people in every sense of the word. Worked tirelessly for  those in need and to get justice. Gracious, caring, honourable.

      And still overlooked...

Just ask why something that is handed out so readily to those not deserving, took so long for someone who massively deserved it.

It was a rant so didn’t make much sense granted....
