He's a big lad, good in the air but is also quick and can bring the ball out from the back, something we have missed since Dagger.

haha, i meant in terms of physique, i am surprised he is that tall to be honest. Watched his extra close up on Friday night and you wouldn't say he is imposing

5th best ranked defender in the Bundesliga, so he can't be that bad.

I thought everyone's contention with our transfer policy was that we weren't buying "proven" talent? If he has to prove himself, what's the use?

Can play at DM as well, I've heard and scored 3 goals this season too.

Maybe we should go for one of the 4 rated above him as a partner

Most likely to replace Skrtel I'd have thought mate, he's the only CB that isn't comfortable playing a high line but for now I'm guessing he'll take Toures' place in the squad.

Proven talent where though mate, he will be coming from a different league and more than likely will take time to adapt.

I think it's more that we buy players who either don't fit or we already have plenty of players for their position. 

We just buy badly when it comes to the "proven" players.  We don't address the obvious problems in the squad but quite happily waste millions on players we neither need nor that improve us.

not really one I know much about but as long as its a player Jürgen wanted regardless of money then good job well done and it keeps his massive summer budget in tact.
