Allen puts in 110% every game, that in itself is something that should hopefully impress Jürgen. But he is contributing a lot at the same time - although he may not be in place for an ideal first XI in Jürgen's mind, his status is more than worthy of a squad player.

Allen shouldn't worry about lack of playing time - it is only with quality like that on the bench would we be able to effectively rotate during long seasons. He'll get plenty of games no doubt.

Sounded like a decent performance, from our main players. This win puts us in contention for sixth place, although with a bit more consistency, could easily have been a top four finish.

Well done Redmen, well earned 3 points, some excellent performances especially Ojo, Moreno,Stewart, Cou and Brannagan when he came on, great little cameo that was, Pirlo excelling again and of course our Bobby showing his class, Ibe did well and very much room for improvement, he still has his lost in space moments but through time he will iron that out,

We have to remember Jürgen made 8 changes today and we still won, it's now on to the plastic kunts on Wednesday where I think we will see a more familiar lineup, I expect he'll make changes throughout the 90 for obvious reasons,

Back to today though, like I mentioned a well earned win and Kudos to Jürgen for having the gonads to try Ibe through the middle, with Cou & Ojo wide and the big fella up top,

Just spent fifteen going through his gifs, the 4 language Lovren one gave me proper shivers. The Luis ones also, missed he be.

Not seen or heard the game, just glad of the win and the 3 points.
Half decent side out and no damage done so good news on the injury front, and a good few players rested.

How did we play in short summary?

Our regulars Mignolet, Moreno, Allen, Coutinho and Firmino (while they were on) all did themselves justice. Particularly Allen and Moreno. The rest were average in all honesty. Skrtel and Flanagan were fortunate in coming up against an attack that would not punish their obvious deficiencies. Lucas was decent while not great, Stewart struggled with his passes and pressing of opponents, Ojo tried his best but nothing quite came off for him (tacks back too often, instantly switching the whole side of defence onto the right side of the ball - he'll become more direct and confident in future but he was always willing). Ibe and Benteke still looking far from good enough.

Ibe got into the game more in the second half but I suspect he was on the end of a bit of a roasting by Klopp at half time. When on the ball he was utterly impotent and looks a lost cause. Benteke likewise. Very one dimensional performance by him despite a decent header down for the MOTM Allen who quite frankly ran the match as a one man performance for most the game.
