Give your Samsung about 12 months and then you will start hating it. Have a couple of friends and they loved theirs until about 8-12 months in. One is now on iPhone (his first, he was always Android) and the other is thinking about going back to an iPhone.
I started in Android (HTC) 3 phones back, like it till about 18 months and then couldn't wait to get rid of it. I'm a Windows guy too, no Apple fanboy here, I strongly dislike Mac OSX. But as for phones, I like iOS and have been nothing but happy with my last and current iPhones.
iPhones are defective sometimes too, plus they don't have the warranty to protect them past the initial 12 months, whereas Android phones have a warranty for the length of the 24 month contracts.
I have helped and served many,
many people who have owned a Samsung. I think I've had one serious complaint about the OS slowing down due to faulty hardware and that was dealt with by our repair center. They received a free replacement phone, which you wouldn't get with Apple as they were 16 months into their contract.
In fact, people have actually wanted their iPhones repaired as the buttons were knackered, the speakers went, the software fu**ed up - and I had to tell them that Apple don't cover the phones after a year so they're stuck with it. They now mostly want to switch to Android.
In addition, hundreds of people have switched from iOS to Android based on my recommendation, and they've
all been happy with the move - either that, or they're all too pissed off to come back and bite my head off. Either/or.
What exactly was it that your friends hated about their Samsung devices?
