SUPERB. Well done. A lot of effort gone into this. Was good during long summer nights of poor Euro's. .

Not a bad 2nd 11 either, wouldn't mind seeing them 2 teams face off!

I got 10 out of 11 which I'm rather chuffed with. The exception being I voted for Ian Rush instead of Luis Suarez.

 

my team consisted of a mix from the 60's through to today.

Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler second XI just shows the calibre of players we have had in our club.

I actually think the 2nd XI might have more goals in it with Rush and Fowler up top, our 2 most natural finishers and Billy Liddell on the wing.

Central midfield and defence definitely goes to the first XI though!

Thanks for doing this, was good entertainment in the long months of no football (well.. not the proper football!)

I got 7 out of 12, not even close.

Only 6 of my 12 made it into the 'all star' XI!

Excellent first team even though not all my selections made it (9)inc manager. Thanks to Si and J.D. for an excellent job.

Based not on what I've watched regularly, but on old games and on reading about the history of the club.

If I were to vote only for those who I've watched, the team would be very different. But then again it wouldn't be a greatest XI of our all history, but only of the past 15 years or so.

Great post, you start to realise the quality of players we have had over the years.  the 1st X1 and 2nd X1 would surely finish 1st & 2nd in the league
