Agree totally, plus he was never gonna walk back into the side with that front three. He needed to play to get back where he was before the bad injuries. He was never gonna get that game time with us.

As I expected, we don't miss him. I like him a lot but I think he's more of an attacking midfielder than a CM. He almost never played in this position here, so I was never worried about him leaving.

I do have a problem with the money side of things. There is no doubt these young men are wealthy beyond belief and when they profess their love for a club but love money even more its just no longer a surprise is it.

Wouldn’t be shocked if he’s off on loan somewhere at the end of the season. He won’t leave permanently because he won’t get a contract like he currently has anywhere else, unless he goes off to the Middle East or China, which I wouldn’t put past him actually. Then he will do interviews moaning about that too.

£5million a year plus isnt zero wages is it. There must be a limit surely but whilst Agents are involved players seem to hide behind them it would be nice if one day a player actually said "I owe this club and its supporters a lot and I am happy with the deal the club have offered".....I won't hold my breath.
