Pre Season Predictions: Where will Liverpool finish in 2016-17?

Come again? City are flying but the red cu*ts are sh*te.

Even just now they've equalised thanks to a ball just falling to feet.

Lost to Feyenoord, robbed Hull and completely outplayed by City.

Did not see the Hull or Feyenoord games, But they were all over city the second half which leads me to believe that it was more down to tactics than any thing else... Watford game out played, simple as that, but the same happened to us at Burnley... Might be wrong but I will stick by what I wrote until proven wrong

I'm going to be cocky. We will finish top two. Yes, citeh look strong, but the cu*ts just lost 3-1 at Watford.

I would love that, especially if Utd finish fifth or wrose 

Amazed there is so much hype about them to be honest, spoon fed their fixtures so far, looked a mess defensively and looked stronger a year ago. I'm not in the slightest bit concerned. I'm more concerned about playing someone like Watford than City.

In all honesty ALL teams should be a concern and NONE should be taken for granted things like Burnley (for us) and Watford (for Scum) happens when there are... We should be treating every game as if it is a game we need to win to stave of relegation on the last day of the season

I'm not saying it shouldn't be treated any differently, I'm saying I'm confident we can get a good result against them based on what I've seen so far. There's a difference.

Took a fortnight to write off the only challengers we had in Chelsea and City. We'll crush City when we play them.

Win the League with F***ing ease.

And the only thing to stop us will be the FA with their constant cheating of Arsenal. It's clear they want Wenger as the next England manager and would love to announce the next England manager as the Premier League winner. Hence Arsenal getting a penalty that never was in the final minute against Southampton, hence Arsenal getting a winner against Burnley despite Chamberlain punching the ball in.

The rest of the League is a write off. City have shown how F***ing small time they are, two games against sides in the top five and took a single point from them. As I said last month, let's wait till they've played a difficult game before we get caught up in thinking they're something special. Chelsea are a joke, United are struggling to make the top six this season, Spurs are showing they can't break sides down (sound familiar? funny how it doesn't get as much attention when it's not Liverpool), Everton have had their moment in the sun and are now going back to their usual mid-table obscurity.

After the results yesterday and our performance I got a touch of the the old fever usually it kicks in about mid February but that wee tingle in your doo dahs and the shiver up yer back lets you know yeah we got a shot at the title a big shot IMHO.

Throw in the fact we have Jürgen who won't let any players get carried away the spirit he has built leaves me very confident.

On the form the Reds are in, anything lower than 3rd, would be a major disappointment to my mind. Obviously top spot should be the main aim, with no European distractions.

Like I said it's us against the FA in this race for the title.

Halfway point of the season. How are predictions looking, people? And who wants to change?

I can't pick a standout and i think you can put a line through Leicester, Spurs and United.

Leaves four clubs in with a shout and i think we look better than Arsenal. So by process of elimination, i reckon we will go top 3 and it'll come down to the business end and who can hold their nerve to see it out on the final weekend.

Still think it'll come down to the 3 teams fighting it out. Maybe January goes a long way to deciding it if either club dips in to the market.

Sept' 18th I changed my prediction from 7th (my original) to top 4.
Now we've established the consistency that has been missing for to many seasons to remember, and we've shown were not all about, we'll score more than you. We CAN thrash it out with sides when needed and secure the tough 1:0 games.
I'm now going for a top 2 finish, with every chance we can win it.
Far surpassed all my pre season expectations.

Sorry for posting out of context but I'm pretty much smashed drunk at the moment.

I'd be amazed if Chelsea don't drop points at some point,everything crossed for Spurs on tues.
We just need to keep the pressure on and not overly worry about the table, it is frustrating though as Ray Houghton pointed out about a month ago that the there hasn't been a game this season that we shouldn't have won,we have been the best team in all of the games we've played and a month on I tend to agree.
I also reckon if Mignolet had the played at Bournemouth and against West Ham we'd have had another four points but I'm picking holes now and what's gone is gone.
We are well in this title race and need to keep the pressure on,the 31st of Jan is the big one.
