Highest Prem points total was 95 in 04/05.  Chelsea had 40pts after 17 games that season.  They've got 43 points now.

Keep this up and they might reach 100+ points.

But life is not perfect. A few suspensions and injuries could see this form plummet. Hope this form doesn't  last.

I know it's too early to say but one of Citeh or Arsenal may be out of the race after their fixture tomorrow, in fact I would say that every game for the chasing pack is a must win for now.

      11 wins 2 goals conceded?
      Frightening form.
They just kepp on winning, 1-0,1-0,2-0, damp.

:f_wah: This is going to be self fulfilling. Everyone's gonna be afraid of them. Then they'll walk the league.

:'( very soon the title will be out of reach

But life is not perfect. A few suspensions and injuries could see this form plummet. Hope this form doesn't  last.

This need to happen very, very soon before it is too late, when the gap is too wide!
I am not very optimistic on this.  :(

Chelsea won't win every game till the end of the season so all we can do is keep winning our games and hopefully take advantage when they do drop points.

Considering they've won 11 out of 11 they're still only 2 wins worth ahead of us points wise (after we beat the bitters) and they've still to come to anfield.

Sure they're grinding out the proverbial 1-0s but at some stage those 1-0s will become 1-1s or 2-1 losses.

Stay in touching distance, it isn't over yet.

Let's just enjoy the season instead of getting worked up over something that is potentially 5 months away from happening.

      True.  But neither will we.

Like I said earlier they are 3 points better off at this stage than they were on the season they set the points record of 95 points.

They can afford to drop a huge 26 points (almost 9 defeats) from their next 21 games (which I think we can generally agree looks extremely unlikely) and they will still reach 80 points which might be beyond the reach of 2nd place this season judging by ours, Arsenal and Man City's slip ups.

No but we can go on a 10+ game winning run which could see us overtake them.  We've just got to stay there once we do but they will have a blip or a downturn in form at some stage.

      City's defence is truly applalling.

Safe to say you can rule them out of a title challenge this season.

They will probably sign a new defence in January for 200 million just to finish top 4.

They've spent nearly that on defense in recent years mate I'm not sure spending more will improve it much.

General feeling is that City are more useless than Arsenal so I'd probably be happier they won.

But then Arsenal 'usually' have a poor second half of a season so maybe they can take these points.

So, not really got a strong opinion on this one!

Arse played off the pitch in that second half mainly due to Coquelin and Xahka being absolute garbage.

The number of times those two gave the ball away.......shocking for PL players.

They really miss Cazorla in the big games.
