need to calm down now, get a grip and get some fluidity going.  Everyone needs to step up a gear or we gonna start losing ground !

Can't use Lallana as an excuse when no one gave a sh*t about him going a few months ago. Need different teams for different occasions. Sturridge being fit and not have three number tens every game would be an alternative sensible backup option.

Look a bit devoid of ideas without Coutinho and Lallana and without Studge to call upon. It wouldn't surprise me if this one finishes 0-0 given we've had 80% possession and not carved a clear cut chance in that first half. I wonder if it could be the game for young Woodburn to come off the bench and make himself a hero in the last 15 minutes? I'd like to see Wijnaldum get forward and take a bit of responsibility Origi has done ok but the lad has hardly played all season and has looked very rusty in his previous appearances.

Good to see us being patient with the ball though, there is very little point in punting aimless crosses into the box so I hope we keep going in the same manner as a couple of chances will inevitably present themselves, particularly as they get tired.

We Couts off and Mane having a stinker I think we need to bring on Moreno, especially with Origi in the middle

Can't blame Gollum so far mate, we look slow and lethargic

Can't respect any manager who sets their team up like that. Millions of pounds a season to do that?

It is our fault it's 0-0, though. Mané has been very poor, especially.

Things aren't quite as bad as that mate.

I'd consider changing Milner for Moreno

Think Milner was one of our better players in the half to be honest but can see the logic - we've got Firmino having to go out to the edge of the box to flick a cross back into Can.  Not ideal.

I'll allow Mane one half being off, he's been a major part of our success this season. His problem first half has been crap passes/crosses. He should just go for goal, nothing to lose.

That link to the front men is just missing completely. It's basically all being done in front of Sunderland where our lads have to be bombing beyond as much as possible.

I'd consider changing Milner for Moreno and perhaps take Can off moving Milner into the wide right position. Can see the case for that potentially biting us in the arse the other way but we just don't have the creativity or energy to break that back line.

Mane has been disappointing I think.

I like this very much. Can is not doing much and Milner can be good on the right. Unfortunately, Klopp won't do that. He likes Can for some reason.

I am also disappointed in Henderson but then I usual am anyway. He just doesn't take responsibility to move the ball forward - just passes it sideways.

Can't tell if that's really bad or just hyper-extended.  Either way fingers crossed there.

Throw on Woodburn, just to see what happens.

Hey, it can't be worse than any of the other lot out there, and he's got nothing to lose!

My stream fu**ed up just before that and when it came back on the commentator was saying there was nothing in it, what happened?

He went to kick the ball and as he did that N'Dong put his foot behind the ball so he kicked a ball that didn't move.

Spraining an ankle makes your body feel that cold flush go through you then intense pain, but it's relatively short term (still 5 or 6 weeks though) it's bad because that's the best we can hope for here.

Honestly don't think we've played badly.  Not as fluid as we can be but Sunderland have done the classic men behind the ball and executed it well for 45 minutes.
