lf klopp can get the back line sort out next summer and l feel we need other midfielder that can control game, then we can go on win first premier league

We need a new GK, CB, LB, DLPM, Winger and a Striker if we sell Sturridge.

Then we will have a shot at the title next season.

Top 4 will be a success this season if we can achieve it.

I want to see you structure a grammatically correct sentence before you die.

But we can't have everything in life can we?!

We should have a "Laugh at Liverpool FC" thread - that was utterly shambolic and we cannot laugh at any other club after a result like that. I am absolutely devastated and embarrassed. Hopefully the players are too.

How can we concede 4 goals after HT to Bournemouth?? What was going on?  :f_doh:

Even 3-1, we were completely comfortable and looking to add a 4th. What happened? I don't get it. I don't get how in those final 10 minutes we were so bad and our defending so comical. Second to every loose ball and our players (bar Milner) didn't look like they could be bothered.

Trying to find the positives here, but all I can think is Origi scored again. Not that it makes a difference when we lose like that!!

One simple conclusion is that Karius has to go back to the bench and watch and learn from Mignolet. No way. No way can Karius justifiably keep his place now. No way at all. Mignolet walks back in.

January could be a very important transfer window for us

I think we need a more experienced keeper for Karius to learn from, and I would like to see a first choice centre back to play alongside Matip. A proven left back would also be a plus.

Do you want him to destroy his GK career before his next birthday???

One man who will be delighted with the result, and more so than Eddie Howe, is referee Madley. Absolutely shocking performance and one that looked hugely dubious.. I mean come on.. what was his motivation to give Bournemouth everything today to help them get that win? Free kick after free kick, including the free kick for Lovren's "foul" in the lead up to their 3rd goal.

So far, Mignolet is hands down a better keeper than Karius.

I've watched all Bournemouth's goals again and the only one I'd lay blame at Karius for is the fourth and even that is taking a liberty because I'm not sure how that shot was allowed to happen.  Lad was in acres of space.  Wijnaldum went walkies.  Wijnaldum was nowhere to be seen in the break for their 2nd as well - the one that Lovren was out of position.  It would have been easier for him to play the lad offside by just stopping moving.

Third goal was classic Liverpool defending.  At least one of those defenders or midfielders should have been attacking the ball.

As much fun as it must be to try and find the one player entirely responsible then you will be sh*t out of luck.

Let's not go down that road mate, we lost because WE threw the game away.

Madley could very easily have given them a penalty with Furmino's clumsy challenge.

Yeah he was awful but that's to be expected in the PL.

Still doesn't excuse the total capitulation.

At least Klopp knows now that we are an average side if you take out Matip, Mane and Cou from the side.

We need some more quality in the squad. Hopefully we bring some in next month.

What we basing this on, out of interest?

Could have given them a pen in the first half.  Most on here thought he should have give them it.

Chelsea will be favoirites now but we're still in with a shot.

Do you really think Chelsea, City and Arsenal will go the rest of the season without experiencing a shock result like we did today?

Not sure I agree JD. I expect any goalie worth his salt to be saving two of those. Alluded to it before and it's similar to what Carragher said in that our players have pressed and harried relentlessly to keep shots on our goal to a minimum lately. It's expected that shots will come in every now and again and when they are shots like those two today I don't think it's unfair to ask a little more of the goalkeeper. Yes, the shots could have been avoided but they should be most goalkeeper's bread and butter.

Of course we are title contenders. Even teams as far back as Spurs can win it so we're bang in with a chance.

As for goalies I quite like ones that save stuff. I think it's even more important than being able to pass it like Franz Beckenbauer. If Man City are mad enough to consider it (and apparently they were) we ought to IMHO buy Joe Hart in January. Get rid of Mings for whatever we can get for him, and have Karius as our learner under a proper goalkeeper.
