On the game: very pleased with that performance. Just how fit are our players? Lallana, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Firmino, ... Jesus Christ they just don't stop running! Unbelievable.

Lallana MOTM for me too, but any one of Wijnaldum, Henderson, Lucas, Firmino deserves it too.

      ^^ This mate.

This is exactly why teams 'park the bus' because when they try to compete with us we are simply too strong. People will suggest Spurs played into our hands but really that's an insult to us, Spurs came to try and compete and couldn't. Those that park the bus are just praying that we don't come up with a way of breaking it down because when we do we'll be irresistible.

I've voted motm for a player who was recently slaughtered, told to F**k off out of the club,
Well today he played out of position, again, made some great interceptions, some terrific tackles and blocks, was out jumping a player who was a full he'd taller than him. Played simple good passes, a good percentage going forward, Never put a foot wrong.

      That was Lucas !!

One of 13 who were brilliant today.

Always extra special for me personally when we beat the Cu*ts, given my long and deep hatred. As Glenn Hoddle said, our game management today was excellent and at no point in the second half was I anything less than confident that we'd win.

We needed that win after the disaster that was January and the Hull game last week.

Ah mentioned you in the match thread mate, thought you might be enjoying that one just a bit mate! Brilliant wasn't it.

The difference in Henderson when he's paired with winaudim (!) is amazing 😉They bossed that midfield today, hope klopp sticks with them as Can offers nothing. Well done great win

      Not surprised we won.

Soon as I saw Can on the bench I knew we had a chance as we would overrun Spurs in midfield.

Soon as Can comes on for Cou we slow down as a unit as all he does is hoof the ball and miss tackles.

We need much better midfield options than Can next season and I'm sure Klopp will address this.

That aside it was a great team performance and hopefully a catalyst to win enough games to stay top 4.

Klopp: Roberto Firmino - I'm not sure I've seen a better performance from a forward without scoring. Sprinting at 92 minutes.

      Jürgen knows the score.

Great result, if we are "allowed" to play like that every game, top four no problem. Boys were great, at least the Spuds tried to win and didn't park the bus.

      The Redmen are back.

Too much silence here after the win as compared to when we lose.

You're right and I don't get it myself. I'm the opposite - stay and discuss the game when we win and disappear in a huff when we lose. I'm sure there are others like me as well.

Again, that is the key word. He has always been good for us when played, hasn't he? but for whatever reason, people just like to attack Lucas when we lose.

I can't stress this enough, they were outstanding today! THAT is the performance that we need to see from now until the end of the season. MOTM for me was Mane but there's considerable mentions for near enough every single other red on the pitch. Henderson's battling and heart today was unreal, Firmino ran his arse into the ground, Wijnaldum didn't put a foot wrong & what a beautiful pass by him for the first goal, Lallana was the typical Lallana etc. etc. :D

Couldn't be more proud of them for their performance today!

Edit: Loving the player stats at the top of the page for whoever sorted that out.

I know all the focuses are on Sadio Mane for his goals and he deserved to be MOTM, but I gotta say Wijnaldum was the main difference today, especially in that first half.
That performance was so refreshing to see from the entire team! Let's get back to the winning ways from now on!

Spurs are very lucky to only lose 2-0 could have been 4 or 5-0 at half time, voted Mane motm no brainer really when he is on his game we take some stopping, all the players put in a proper shift, chased every ball, and in that first half spurs were chasing shadows.

I only saw the second half, but that was a display to shut up the critics. Showed no signs of the tiredness that looked like it had caught up with them. Top marks lads.👍

Absolutely superb performance, back to what we were producing earlier in the season,  the workrate and intensity was amazing, and first half especially we were back to our old selves, Mane was simply unplayable first half, Lallana, Henderson, Firmino, Gini all superb,  99.9% of the fans called it, drop Emre and we will be a much better side, and my word were we, so fookin happy,  at last a decent nights sleep after a LFC game

Over two weeks until the next match. Ironic considering the fixture jam we had in January.

      :D

Had a mental picture of you going totally nuts at that one today. An utter demolition job, just gutted we didn't get my 4-0 or 5-0 that I bet on, usually Spurs are good for it!

250/1 too, could have easily been, oh well someone is getting a pasting soon that's for sure.
