52 pages on both this and the Kieta post and we are further away as ever

is no one concerned about our negotiators?

I dont even think they could sign me

Negotiators can't do jack if the team is refusing to do business.

I really hope this is true, in my opnion this position and signing is more important than Keita

Yes, we could certainly make due without a Keita moreso than without a VVD (or equivalent), which is why it's so frustrating that we were able to completely make a mockery of this "attempted" transfer.

Anyone want to be famous and start a thread/post about Neymar wanting to join us? Nention how you are ITK because you sat next to Coutinho when Neymar was bitching on the phone about Semedo and how he is sick of Barca life and wants to join us. See how quick it'll be pick up by the national news!!

They talked about this on TAW this morning...you can't swear by it but evidently this guy "monk" nailed the Mane deal last year before it was general knowledge and also called that VVD was refusing to go on tour about a week before it was announced.

We shall see, Virgil is doing all he can do for his part.

Believe he also said VVD was going to United a month ago.

Wen't though they're forums, didn't see that but will take your word for it.

Either way Virgil ain't a happy camper hard for me to visualize him wearing the captains armband on opening day for Soton and not getting massacred by the supporters and the turmoil in the locker room with a new manager.

I honestly think we will be OK with him but it is time for someone to figure out where to use the Keita money and make it count.

I guess you could argue that, if they're any good, they recognise that fact pretty early on, accept it, then move on. 🤔

It's not as if we [fans & managers] aren't well used to missing out on our primary targets; right? 😕

Yeah, that's true but people who are good at their job. Will pick up a vibe after talking to the other party. If it is down to amount or they won't sell at all.
If the parent club is not selling then move on. Would also like to add that our approachs haven't been professional at all. Taking to long time and draging it on, van dijk apology says it all.

I honestly don't think it's the owners who are fault, but our club setup. Everything takes too long. We are not a well oiled machinery.

Looking like both deals are dead in the water, I hope we have alternatives lined up, but I won't be holding my breath! I think our transfer committee needs a new name, anyone got any ideas!

Gang of dick heads will do for me.

Needs to hand in a transfer request which I think he will when reintroduced in to the squad, if in his head he wants gone, after training alone and meeting up with the squad and manager and being told he's staying, I fully expect him to push harder and hand in a formal request, its all part of the dance.

Alfie Jones was wearing VVD number 17 in their game today. Would that really be a change of number for VVD or a sign he's off?

Could mean we'll sign Alfie Jones knowing our luck with transfers   ;D   :f_tongueincheek:
