Would have been nice for Woodburn & Grujic to get more game time really but good to see them nonetheless.
Got your wish perhaps a bit late though

Sturridge has caused all sorts of problems today, been a menace.

Great player and surely we should be keeping him

Only keep if he is not going to be injured most of the time.

Think if we had Sturridge for 10 more games this season, we would be in CL already.

By the way - Dirk Kuyt scored a hat trick for Feyenoord today which saw them win their first Dutch league title since 1999. Well in Dirk!

In fairness a strikers first instinct is 'I'm having this!' And Origi needs all the instincts to get back up to a competitive level that will see him become a first eleven player.
No better striker than Luis and he would have slid Danny in for sure has to lay that off for me

I wondered what the guy on 5 Live was going on about when he mentioned a Kuyt hat trick.

Firmino if fit, do you insert him into starting 11?

1st goal was after 44 secs I think, so not that impressive as he had another 89 mins to score just 2 more.  :f_whistle:

FT: 4-0. Absolutely buzzing! Great performance on the whole once we got started. Coutinho my MOTM but an honourable mention to Sturridge.

No, think we have shown more going forward with both Origi and Sturridge today, and looked more potent

Far better than I thought we'd do.
I think Studge had a big say in that. He just gives defences the jitters whenever he has the ball. That also gives the rest of our side a huge confidence lift.
Made up with that, and have to say, Klopp got it spot on today.

Couldn't ask for more! Win, clean sheet and four goals added onto our goal difference, just a United loss now and I'll sleep well tonight!

      Job done, shame it couldn't be 5 (was 70/1 :( )

We'd have all taken having to beat a relegated side at Anfield in the last game to get Champions League footy. Exactly what we needed.

Good to get the goal difference on our side too as it could potentially come down to that.

      Well in lads!!

And some on here we're busy buying big boys pants prematch!

Probably our best attacking display since before Crimbo.

Coutinho and Sturridge at the heart of all the good things.

Great performance, hope the confidence continues into the next game.

I would keep it exactly the same. Having Sturridge and Origi with Lallana in behind was a great move, whether forced or not.

That's true, while I don't want to take the shine off a 4-0 win away from home and a good performance by a good few of our players it can't be denied that West Ham were really, really poor.

I expected more fight from them, especially considering our recent record against Bilic who has had our number more times than not.

Rather give the credit to our lads and Klopp though, good change of system and nice movement between Coutinho and Studge did create a lot of the problems and we could easily have won that 6 or 7 - 1 on the balance of play (how they missed that chance I'll never know).

      Delighted with that :)

Main men today, Coutinho, deeper position, was excellent, two goals. My MOTM.  But would not underestimate Sturridge's contribution, brilliant run and finish for the critical first goal. And lovely feet in the build up to the 4th goal.   Those two guys made the difference today.

Didn't miss Firmino in the end, maybe raises a few 'what if's for all the matches Studge didn't start/play even when fit. But that's for another day. Still think he'll go, and maybe a good finish to the season bumps the price a bit.

Mignolet is a different man, nothing super hard to do, but he was dominant, made right decisions, assured. And that oozes out the defenders, who did fine under not a lot of pressure really.  Lallana did well too.

Job done today. Credit to the players, questions were asked, and they came up with the goods

One more win that's all and 4th is a gaurentee. Would of rather ed the 3rd spot and it would have meant straight to the group stages and we could get our transfer targets in early, it's still possible though the way city play but a very important result today and 4 goal difference on Arsenal is great. Well in lads we dug in without giving a vintage performance.
