      1-0 to Utd

      A deflected goal.

      Of course.

Deserved though as we've been the most creative so far.

Ajax had no clue how to break down utd. Considering the circumstances good for them, hope we meet them in the CL next year to knock them out, like the last time we met them in Europe.

Fair play to them they've won two trophies and made the CL but in all honesty I don't rate them one bit. That's not sour grapes but my honest opinion.

      This.

Maureen's teams never play good football, but he does win. Looking forward to beating them next season

They will get in a better group because of their high ranking and they are already through to the group round. they will be in Pot 2

While we can get in the group of death, if & only if we get through the playoff round. we will be in pot 3.

If I got the numbers right, then I believe we'll know on Friday which of the following teams we'll face in the UCL playoff round:

      Young Boys (Switzerland)
      Steaua București (Romania)
      Nice (France)
      1899 Hoffenheim (Germany)
      İstanbul Başakşehir (Turkey)

Believe you are exactly right. Should comfortably beat any of them, but nothing that I'd say is in the bag at this point.

Yeah we're more than good enough to beat all of those, but I'd say the trickiest opponents on the list are probably Nice and Hoffenheim.

I remember us making things very hard for ourselves on this stage of the competition against Standard Liege under Rafa, think we needed Kuyt to save us on that day. I don't want any of that this time haha

I'd like to avoid Hoffenheim out of those, the rest I think we'd smash.

We will probably draw Nice, Balotelli return to Anfield.   ;D

Whoever we are up against, lets not become complacent and get into the tournament proper.

We should be able to comfortably beat any of those teams, if not then we hav eno place in the competition, its as simple as that. I'd prefer to avoid the Turkish club though, always a nasty hostile away trip over there.

Bucharest would be the easiest draw there by a mile.
