LIVERPOOL TO INCREASE THEIR BID FOR NABY KEITA TO £70MThe Reds are ready to up their offer for Keita yet again after it became apparent that a £66m bid had been rejected by RB Leipzig, reports the Daily Mirror’s Darren Lewis from Hong Kong.
Jürgen Klopp refused to comment on speculation that Liverpool’s £66m bid for Keita had been rejected and still seems extremely relaxed about the club’s transfer negotiations.
Around a month ago, it was reported by BILD that €80m (roughly £70m) would be enough to tempt Leipzig into selling the Guinean and this report claims that Liverpool are ready to submit an offer around that figure now.
It would be unusual for Liverpool to be making bids for a player that they don’t believe they can sign. The Guardian’s Andy Hunter has even suggested that Keita’s agent may be in Hong Kong.

Interestingly, the report in the Mirror claims that Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards has remained in Liverpool to crack on with transfer negotiations as the Reds look to secure the Guinean in a deal that would be worth over double their current transfer record.
It is also possible that Keita and/or his representatives will look to push for a transfer to Liverpool, just as they did to get Sadio Mané his move from Red Bull Salzburg to Southampton in 2014.http://www.anfieldhq.com/liverpool-increase-bid-naby-keita-70m/
