That's great that he's going to sign next season and all, but what if he suffers a season ending injury this winter or next Spring before he joins us?
Sorry if I can't get excited about spending that money on a player that we won't even see kick a ball in anger for us for another year.
I'm sure that kind of stuff is covered in the contract - deal will probably be terminated if he breaks his leg or something.
I'm excited because he's clearly Jürgen's number one target in the middle of the park and whilst we haven't been able to get him in this summer at least we've done the next best thing and bagged him for next year. If we hadn't, then no doubt the big spenders would have come in next year and blown us away in terms of wages.
Think this all but confirms that Coutinho will stay this summer but will be shipped off to the highest bidder next summer.
