Dom is big and plays even bigger. I love the idea of he and Coutinho on the pitch together. Salah and Dom look good, but a guy like Phil can make them even better. Scouts may have saved the club a lot of money on this one. Time will tell

Ahead of Origi and possibly Sturridge soon, but behind Firmino!

Solanke is great and so is Firmino. If Sturridge was fit for 30+ games a season he would be world class. Sturridge normally makes around 20 games a season and with Firmino and Solanke looking good prospects in that position it would make sense to rotate them. We don't have to have a pecking order, all players will get games.

Here for the Sturridge and Solanke celebrations this year tbh.

Or just here for Big Dom being boss.

Definitely fancy this lad ahead of Origi. He could learn a lot this season from Sturridge (i he stay fit long enough to teach him).

He's already bagged a few goals in pre-season.

He takes up some great positions.

Was watching some of the inside training footage. Dude is large.

I'm going to make a bold prediction that he will get more goals this year than Origi. Mark this page ;D

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally....hey...he's outscored Origi in pre-season already :D

Thankfully not up to them now mate.

It's actually tough for the panel to decide because we should only compensate for training and development, considering that was all done before the inflation of transfer fees then it's easy enough to make the case that the prices this season should have no influence. Can definitely see it being £10m and none of us would moan right now at that price.

Looks a player from the top drawer and £30m+ may well look cheap soon enough.

He's definitely impressed in pre season. Bit premature saying he looks a player from the top drawer though, come on now.

He has a bit of the Costa about him.
      He's only 19 but looks 40.

That aside, we might just have landed a gem.

I'd have him ahead of Sturridge, Origi and Ings in the pecking order. Though that said, 2 of them are always injured anyway so may as well have just said ahead of Origi...

Origi looked like doo-doo this preseason minus the Milan game. (Someone double check me on that). Watch the Blbao game and you will see a guy who still doesn't get it. He struggles with timing his runs (he seems to be to fast or to slow) and his anticipation sucks. He has the talent physically but doesn't seem at this point to be able to put it together mentally. Dom on the other hand plays big in the box, hustles inside the box to allow himself to clean up second chance opportunities, and times headers beautifully. His anticipation allows him to play in the air wonderfully. I have only seen him play a small amount of games, but I really like his game and I think he could potentially be the steal of the window for ANY team. I would have him as my second option.

Yeah, more casual fans probably don't even know Ings plays for us.

Is this guy the Karius to our Mignolet?

IE getting closer to the first team from the form of those ahead of him.

I eould certainly be giving this lad a go sooner or later. He wants to score goals and that is a trait we need in our front man.

Offered more than Sturridge when he came on.
His movement and link up play far ahead.

      Big call to make.
Surely only a matter of time.

      Tend to agree Racer.

Interestingly - I was watching him get ready to come on yesterday. His legs (calves) were like pipe cleaners compared to Bobby’s - and he’s not exactly Charles Atlas!

Easy to forget he is still a kid and got some growing to do.

So much potential and needs to get used to rhythm of top level football.

      No doubt he needs time.
The way things are I think he probably starts regularly next season.
Sturridge missing chances that he used to put away for fun.
Natural overlap there. Solanke phased in and Sturridge fades out.

      Feels that way.

Most pleasing thing for me about him yesterday was when he made the near post run for a header.......

We miss a committed front man that wants to take the front / near post on.
