Chelsea willingly selling Costa and Matic in the summer remains the strangest piece of transfer business I've probably seen. Remember Morata and Bakayoko cost in excess of £100m. Add in the buys of Drinkwater (awful player) and Barkley (even more awful player) and you see a team in decline. With us, Spuds and even Arsenal only getting stronger in a financial sense big Roman's empire is only getting smaller.
