To be fair Keith, I'm amazed you liked him at all given that his senior career has comprised of being a Liverpool and Man City player! :D

Sterling is over rated. I am just glad he was against us in the CL. He can't hit water falling off a boat most of the time. Another overpriced and over rated winger who can't defend at all. In today's game at this level, you need players to be able to do more off the ball when the team doesn't have the ball. That is why Ox is better than both Coutinho and Sterling, what he does might not look as fancy, but being strong in midfield is a better quality to have with a world class front 3 then throwing in more attack and leaving gaps in the middle.

I tend to agree (slightly) to a extent about Sterling being overrated. He is in a class side so understandably will get more chances/goals. However, to say Ox is better than Coutinho is utter nonsense. Are you serious ???

You're truly unique, there won't be one member on this site that will agree with that statement. Next you'll be telling me he's worth 140 million.  :lmao:

Shame Saints bottled it vs the Chavs.
To think, if they weren’t being so reluctant to let VVD join us because of us signing a number of their players (for good money it should be noted) and being intent on grassing us up, they could have sold him for the same price then and put that money towards some decent replacements. Instead, VVD is preparing for a Champions League semi final and Southampton are all but certain to get relegated and have Mark Hughes as manager.

Apparently the Gooners are the only side in any of the top 4 divisions who haven't won an away point in 2018.
Which knowing how bad my local side here in Chestefield are is a shocking stat.

United's rubbish long ball tactics worked against city last week in that poxy win but the same tactics were not enough to break down the worst team in the PL today.

Yeah, I think we are gonna have a difficult game next week, they look rejuvenated.

Side note, Utd may not have been the clowns last week, but this week they certainly are :D

They are so lucky Real Madrid’s fax machine was on the blink a few years back and De Gea didn’t transfer only thing that keeps them ticking along.

The PL is a very low standard outside of the top 4.

United are undeserving of 2nd with that awful negative brand they play.

Hopefully we and even Spuds can jump ahead of them as 4th is about where they should finish.

Let me get this straight...you wanted the Mancs to not only win, but smash a team and maintain an advantage over us because it will give West Brom confidence against us?...are you taking the piss? Seriously?!

You are worried about WBA having confidence against us but neglect the fact we are beeming with confidence from smashing City 5-1 in the space of 6 days, getting to the last 4 in Europe and following it up with a convincing win over Bournemouth. Not to mention we now have a good chance of clawing United down and snatching 2nd so I think it’s fair to say we will be in far more confident mood than WBA and the day I become worried about any team gaining confidence from beating United and subsequently wanting United to win is the day I throw in the towel and jump off a cliff.

Unbelievable. There has been some whoppers of a post on here over the years but this one, being scared of WBA having confidence is close to topping the list.

As much as I would love it to happen I don't think United are going to drop enough points in their remaining 5 games for us to catch them.

It's always amazed me in recent years that people have been almost blasé about us beating the teams at the top.

Well if we had beaten United and instead lost against say Stoke we'd be on the same points as we are now but in 2nd place clear by 2.  Some three points are clearly more important than others.

I'd be interested to see our record against the top six this season compared to the past few.

Well I know we’ve lost away to United, City and Spurs (and F***ing Swansea).

We’ve drawn with Arsenal away and Chelsea/United at home.

So that leaves wins against only city  and arsenal this season.

No where near the level of last year.

But oddly enough we’re much better against teams below us.
