Worse scenario, if Chelsea level peg with us, we will finish above them, on superior goal difference. Surely we will beat Brighton last game of the season. Although think that we are good enough to win or at least draw away next Sunday against Chelsea.

It's about the only time I have ever wished to have a neghead manager like Maureen who could set us up to kill a game and draw at Stamford Bridge.
In all seriousness though Chelsea were not that impressive against Swansea, if they play the same against us and we play at our normal level then we should at worst draw against them.

A draw would be a satisfactory result, although we could well pull off a victory.

West Ham were absolutely awful against Man City, fully expect them to be getting dragged into the relegation dogfight they're that bad.

Be interesting to see what games are left as Southampton could still drag themselves out of it.

Maureen's land of the giants philosophy pays off again.
And Arsene had come down from the stand I think expecting they'd get the point at least. He's had some career, but he's gone on a couple of years too long unfortunately.

Our lack of depth really hurts us. We can say Man U are sh*te, but they are still 5 points ahead of us with a game in hand and have a realistic chance of a trophy. We have drawn too many games.

As well as defence, where mourinho succesds over Klopp is his substitutions.

United have more depth as they have outspent us 3 to 1 over the last few seasons.

Yet we are still a better starting 11 just lacking depth in quality to compete over a full season.

There is little wonder why no English refs are going to the World Cup this some if the Liverpool,Chelsea and City games are anything to go by... :o

I hate the Big Headed Little C**t Raheem Stirling, but I hate poor officiating and inconsistency even more... Stirling clearly bought down in the box If the ref did not have a clear view the lines man did... VAR would not have come into it as no decision was made, but how the f**k could both Ref and assistant miss it....??

From what I can gather, it’s teams like Spurs that have had the luck this season in terms of decisions are the ones that voted against VAR...no surprise really.

I dont like VAR, think it can kill all momentum and spoil a game with the waiting around. I’d just like the officials to actually be at least half decent at their job and not bias. How some of the penalties we should have had, but haven’t, has been shocking.

The calibre of officials in from england are a disgrace, no wonder they won’t have any at the World Cup.

I get the calls for VAR, and I wouldn't be against it if it were implemented,  but you bring up a good point. Why does it have to be status quo or VAR? Why can't it be make the referees more accountable for wrong decisions, expect more of them, train them better and have them better placed to make the correct calls.

Maybe instead of VAR we put a couple of extra linesman on the field to help with calls?

Out of all the teams who are trying to avoid the drop Southampton & Swansea  are the only team s I can see getting away from it.
