I always like a player of Liverpool to have a WC winning medal.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Liverpool player win the World Cup either but, to be quite honest, I’d rather see them winning things in a Liverpool shirt.

As I said mate, it may just be a generational thing. A lot of people on here will be able to say they were blessed to watch the likes of Pele, Maradona, Cruyff etc and I’m sure the same will be said of Messi. Above all I love football and this little f**ker has done things you would never have believed possible. He is as humble as you could expect a guy with his talent to be and not at all unlikeable. ‘A good family man’, as we all like to say about Salah.

Argentina have a good shot at winning it and I would like to see the best player of our time get his hands on the most coveted trophy in the sport.

The Sunday Mirror goes with Salah ready to KB Real Madrid and is expected to be offered a £200k a week contract to remain with LFC.

Probably for Messi. I think most of my generation, aside from their own team (if they actually made it), would like to see Messi lift a World Cup.

F**k Messi, couldn't give a toss about him tbh.

Still say look no further than the Germans, probably break Messi's heart and send him back into international retirement again!!

Messi, sick of these muppets saying Messi needs a world cup to be considered a true great, and even sick of Ronaldo thinking he is the GOAT!

Don't want Brazil winning it because of Coutinho and Neymar (Sorry Firmino)
Don't want Germans winning it because they won the last one :D
Don't want England to win it because I am Welsh
Don't want Portugal to win it because of Ronaldo
Don't want Spain to win it because their ego's will be inflated again
Don't want Belgium to win it because of their shitty manager and I just dislike that c**t Fellaini
Don't want France to win it because of Pogba

Argentina would be my first choice, failing that, Egypt (Salah obviously) and 3rd choice would be Senegal (because of Mane), the rest can F**k right off.

Salah's representative Ramy Abbas Issa has apparently denied that our man told friends " he would be staying at Anfield this season", on social media he commented "we do not discuss such matters  with friends".
Agents and hands in the till springs to mind.

"Apparently" does not sound concrete, was it from Joe Bloggs on Twitter or a palm reading from a Kangeroo at the North Pole?

I'd probably want to see Germany win it again - they seem the most decent of the lot and it'd be great seeing Putin, biting his tongue, handing over the World Cup trophy to the German captain with Merkel hopefully lapping it up beside him.

The rest - yeah I can't disagree with you there. Especially with Portugal. Them winning the Euro 2016 despite finishing third in their group and playing football that was bloody awful still sticks in the throat. But what really made it appalling was Ronaldo going off injured in the final and then hijacking the touchline with histrionics and arm waving, pretending that he was orchestrating the victory as opposed to the manager who was just standing there looking like a spare pr**k at a wedding. In a career defined by narcissism that took it to a whole new level. Extreme levels of cringe.

      I will use your template.

Don't want Brazil winning it because of Coutinho and Neymar (Sorry Firmino) -- Agreed
Don't want Germans winning it because they won the last one :D -- Agreed
I want England to win it because I am English
Don't want Portugal to win it because of Ronaldo -- Agreed
Don't want Spain to win it because their ego's will be inflated again -- Agreed
Don't want Belgium to win it because of their shitty manager and I just dislike Fellaini -- Agreed
Don't want France to win it because of Pogba -- Agreed
      Argentina can go whistle.
I couldn't care less about how far anybody else gets other than Egypt as a 2nd team because of King Salah.

Glad Wales aren't in it because of the Iceland reaction and jealousy from the other home nations
Wales pinned their hopes on a English Wonderkid (Born in England with English parents and 3 English Grandparents) Woodburn and didn't qualify, yet they hate the English, I am going to go look at my dictionary to see what the word hypocrisy means. <-- Banter returned to you PurpleMonkey

To be fair, it wasn’t just no Messi. No Aguero, Dybala, Di Maria, Pastore.

Still a humbling defeat mind you but I reckon they will be up to it for the World Cup.

"Apparently" does not sound concrete, was it from Joe Bloggs on Twitter or a palm reading from a Kangeroo at the North Pole?

It was an article in the Liverpool Echo, the report was first hand therefore did not require any mention of "apparently".
I was quoting an original source without providing a link so used the word "apparently" to indicate the anomaly.
Would there be any more trivia you wish to enquire about?

Apologies for my downgrading this player earlier this season, i didn't expected 50% of the things he did this season, signing of the season in PL without doubt and maybe the best player of the season.

Great job Mo, well done.

Anyone seen the vids of Salah interracting with the School kids on LFCTV?

Absolutely F***ing boss watching the different reactions of the kids when Salah bounces into the room.

It was a brilliant video mate, the last 2 kids bowing down to him was amazing.  Reckon Salah will score a hatty against Palace now.
