Thought it was odd.  Although clearly just a matter of time now.

My boys??? what an odd expression, where are you from?

By the way i have been more than critical of the owners in the past but not in this transfer window, they have made funds available but its other people who have fu**ed up the transfers including the most holy and revered Herr Klopp, or do you find Klopp faultless in this regard?

In Klopps' time at Anfield, are you more satisfied with his or FSG's perfomance?

Hmm a lot of room for improvement for both but more happy with Klopp.

Feeling better about the prospect of him staying now.

If you were his agent and still hellbent on making that move happen (because that's how agents get paid), wouldn't you be working the other channels to try and get some of Klopp's targets to move to us in the next two weeks? I wonder if that is happening.

But as I say, I am feeling better at the prospect of him staying at this point.

Oh and the Catalan press may be worse than the British tabs, and that's hard to accomplish.

Coutinho missing CL football, Irony... the football competition the best want to play in. When he's fit, he doesn't become first choice.. he makes is way back from the bench one toe at a time. I also Hope Klopp gets him a rubbish seat next to some guy filling has face with pies and passing gas.

Got bit of a trump card if he does stay. If he stays and carries on faking these back injuries and misses football, then he can kiss goodbye to playing in the World Cup. It's in his best interests, as well as ours if he knuckles down and plays at his best and puts this behind him.

If we end up selling Coutinho, any chance we somehow include Rakitic in the deal? Haha

I like Rakitic, but I think he's too similar to Hendo, Wijnaldum and Can. Yes, an upgrade, but I would want someone different. I wouldn't mind us looking into Gomes tbh. Barca just play him as an #8, but he is a #6.

Gomes is too pedestrian to be any different then what we have now

He is quicker and stronger than Lucas, and Lucas did well in midfield when called upon. Gomes is a natural #6 and a good ball distributor and tackler, I have no doubts he will help solidify our defense and control the middle a lot better than the players we have for the 6 spot, so yeah, he will be different to what we have now.

Gomes as a #6? I don't remember ever seeing him play as one, even at Valencia

Nah, he's not a #6 but he's a damn good CM.  His passing and vision are on another level than any of our current midfielders.  Not quite as good as Xabi was, but not far off either.

He played there a handful of times or so last season, was quite formidable and looked very natural to him. Keep an eye out this season!!!

Perhaps he is more like a Vieira? Either way, when he sits in the midfield, I think he can offer a lot more than our current "#6's". Wouldn't mind us taking a gamble on him + 120m for Coutinho if he does leave.
