Everyone and their F***ing goat says 'Oh but Can is rated highly by Germany.'... Not really though is he. He's got 15 caps and out of the current 2017 squad the only midfielders he's played more minutes than are Henrichs and Demirbay, heard of them? Nah me neither.

Julian Draxler has 20 more caps and they are the same age, Kimmich has 7 more caps and he's 3 years younger and has been playing for Germany for far less time than Can. That's highly rated, Can is a squad player at best for them, so don't try and sell me on this bollocks that Germany highly rate him, if they did he wouldn't have been a sub for the entire confederations cup. How can someone who can't get into the starting 11 because younger players like Goretzka are keeping him out be highly rated? It's bollocks, it really is.

He was a bench warmer in the Confederations Cup where Germany used their B-team. Hardly an important player for them at all.

Btw I really like what I've seen of Demirbay. We'll see a bit of him in the UCL playoffs.

With pre season done and 6 days to the start of the league what 11 would you go with based on pre season and assuming we arent signing anyone before kick off.

Let's just get this done, we should not be worrying over teams like Twatford, not saying it will be a walk over but these type of teams generally park a double decker once they realise we are too much for them, I expect them to come out all gung ho and firing but after the initial storm and things settle down our quality should take over, i'm confidant we will take our first 3pts of a arduous season and hopefully return injury free,

we have a CL qualifier on the horizon a two legged cup final so we need to be hitting the ground running, build momentum and adopt a winning mentality early doors, a win at Vicarage rd would give us the ideal start.

I agree with most of this, but I can see Woodburn starting against Watford. Coutinho missed training to get more back treatment and we can't risk him for Hoffenheim. I'd probably take precaution with Sturridge too.

Just gotta make sure the players stay focused and from what I saw these last few games the focus looks good.
I haven't seen anything of Watfords warm up games or know nothing about the team to be honest apart from the fact we twatted them both games last season, so let's just do it again!
The three points taken on Saturday are just as important as the three at home in the middle of November or March.
10 months of footy coming up!

Confident whoever starts will do the biz, all the players have looked sharp and hungry and thats all we can ask for.

But on a more serious note, I think that Gini can bring some liveliness to it. He's got a higher risk-tolerance than Hendo and he's quicker and less clumsy than Can. They'd also just need to work out who is the #6, who is the #8, and who is the #10. Seems to be an issue that Hendo and Can run into whenever they're on the pitch together.

We'd just need them to get the ball into the feet of Mane, Salah, or Firmino and let them take it from there.
