Can't believe there is no Premarin thread on the eve of one of one of the biggest games for us in years.

There seems to be a lot of negativity and gloom around the club with the transfer window and compounded with that awful defensive show on the weekend.

Hoping to see a few changes for this, I'm not his biggest fan but Milner needs to come in at LB if Robertson is not yet up to speed.
The other option could be Milner on the right caveats around Robertson availability.

I would also drop Mig and let's see if Karius can grow into the role in the Cups at least.

That midfield trio of Hendo, Gini and Can fills me with dread esp Hendo and Gini who were both absolutely appalling v Watford, hopefully a rocket from Klopp will give them something to ponder.
Offered zero defensive cover, not going to mention they're offensive side as I don't think they have it in the locker.

Same front 3 with hopefully Sturbridge on the bench to bring on later in the second half.

Unfortunately going to miss this one, just praying the back 4 can show some semblance of professional defenders!

I'm quietly confident about this one, I don't think we can be as bad defensively as we were against Watford and I think the attack will just get sharper and sharper every match and its already pretty deadly. I think we'll have more than enough for Hoffenheim, especially over 2 legs, but there is no room for complacency.

If not Robertson, Bertie gets a reluctant nod, with no Sturridge in the party, Firmino, again reluctant to put him in as striker, rather have him in the Coutinho role if I'm honest, anyhoo needs must, giving Klavan a go simply because he knows how vital he'll be and won't want to F**k this opportunity up, same with Karius,
Grujic in alongside Milner is a gamble but if he keeps his wig on I think he could be very handy, the frontline speak for themselves,

Going to be a tight affair but I fancy us grabbing a sneaky 0-1 but probably be 2-1 against which is not the worst result to come home with.

Erm what??? Did you think the deface was so strong that we could weaken it or something, Gomez was the player who gave the freekick away to Watford in the dying moments of the game which indirectly led to their goal and the less said about Klavan replacing Lovren the better.

Are we classing Hoffenheim as better or worse than Watford because Watford actually played pretty damned well on Saturday but even so we should have easily won that game just like we should easily win this one.

Not much point having "awesome firepower" if our defence waves the white flag as soon as they're attacked.

why on earth are people putting up reserve teams?! they are a damn good side. finished 2 points behind dortmund and 5 points off second last season.  Granted theyve lost Rudy and Sule , but they are a very tidy side.

These may not be a European household name but they're no slouches and this is not going to be an easy game. We need a full strength side or we're crashing out of Europe before we even get there. With that in mind, assuming he's fit, I'd be inclined to play Milner at left back purely because of his greater experience than either of the alternatives.

They won't sit back and defend, but neither did Watford, yet we still struggled. I think Hoffenheim are a high pressing team, but they lost 2 of their key players to Bayern , however, they have Gnabry, I think he will cause problems for either Moreno or TAA .
