Clean sheet? talk about clutching at straws.

      I know.

And I'm sure some numpty tried to celebrate that as a way to spin this result.  ;D

Why do Sky Sports say things like Mourhino frustrates the life out of Liverpool again?

This is football. It's a game of football. In football you play to win.

Why don't they say "Mourhino plays negative football, parks the bus, and played for a draw with his multi-billion £ club? Why don't they say "Mourhino has looked awesome against the lesser teams but as soon as he comes up against one of the big boys he's looked extremely ordinary?"

A draw at Anfield for the visiting side is always a good result whether you're Manchester United or Maidenhead United. It should worry us that one year on from an identical match against the Mancs we're no different a side and started with only one summer signing. That Man Utd have posed the same challenge to us once more and we have failed to solve that challenge is very frustrating.

Looking in the long term as well from their perspective, Mourinho will want to test his game management abilities in tough away grounds because if he can keep a 0-0 result at Anfield then it can give him knowledge and the team experience that they can do similar when they go away to European big guns in the CL knockout rounds. He knows exactly what he's doing so in that respect I understand why he chose to stay defensive in this match.

      Outdone by Maureen again.

      Do we not study opponents?

      That's a bit harsh

Obviously the league is fu**ed but I think we need just one day for everything to go in... I mean a good hiding is coming for someone soon and once that happens I think we're gonna start twatting people again.

Literally all were missing is the goals really, once we get a good result the flood gates will open and this run will be behind us.

We'll be finishing teams off in the first half again.

Is it harsh? Exact same problem as last year against them and against numerous other teams.

For me, Keita will make a huge difference but we also need a real, incisive attacking threat. Salah shows glimpses but we need an out and our number 9 who is going to guarantee us 25 goals a season before we will be able to beat the bus parkers.

      And they don't come cheap.

"Well" I suppose I should be happy going to Anfield and getting a point considering the record you guys have against the top 6 over the last 18 months. However, disappointed Mourhino kept the same tactics and parked  the bus. As a fan I was rather bored watching the match and obviously not the United way of old. I still wouldn’t swap him as thankfully we don’t play the top teams every week. He played for his point so mission accomplished if your name Mourhino.

Lukaku went idol as he has done in big games before. He could argue that he got no service due to the bus being parked so early in the game. The only player worth a mention is De Gea. He's proven in many peoples eyes why he's No 1 in the world.

Thought Salah was your best player in first half and Coutinho in the second. Coutinho a must to stay if you have any chance of success this year, he's got the lot and always dangerous on the ball. Liverpool edge the game and deserved more than a point being fair.

Usual people spouting their usual sh*t.

Before the game people were petrified of United, so many telling me that they'll dominate possession, that they'll hammer us and could see nothing but a loss.

After the game everyone is an expert and suddenly knew that United would set up as they did, knew that we'd squander top quality chances and knew that United would apparently not even try to create (what a load of sh*t that is).

We penned them back, we had them on the ropes time and time again but couldn't land the crucial blow, that is the theme of our season. It doesn't matter if you're parking the bus or you're driving a mini we're just not catching the breaks right now in terms of our finishing. Sure blame it on not being clinical enough but really when Can bangs in a worldy for Germany but misses that against United from about 5 yards out? Matip forces De Gea to produce a worldy with his feet and Salah can't pass it into the net after that.

Lovren had other chances, Coutinho too, Gini, Gomez, sure you can say some of them are half chances but when you create so many half chances and top chances you should be at least scoring one. Anyone continuing the narrative of negativity after producing that level of performance is just showing their lack of perspective and ability to look beyond the most obvious and simple definitions.

Proud of the lads today, yet another strong performance.

Normally I agree with your posts Luke, but it is hard to blame it on bad luck when this is a pattern of performance. We have seen this time and again, it's not a once off that can be put down to an off day.

We obviously don't have a solution for when teams come and park the bus and to be fair, not many teams do. The solution is to have the most money and buy the best players, which is why City, Chelsea, the mancs blow teams away.

But we can't dismiss the same problems over and over as us just being unfortunate and I hope that isn't how Jürgen is viewing it.

I'm not saying it's bad luck or an off day mate, I'm saying it's lack of clinical finishing but what causes that? Firstly talent, of course, but secondly it's composure and when you're in a run like we are the hardest one to score is always the first.

United create the chances we do today and they probably win 4-0 because at the moment they're scoring from everywhere, just as we were last season but we've got one of those stupid bloody monkey's on our back and they can be incredibly hard to shift. It's not difficult to comprehend how a chance is more important than a goal, without a chance a goal really can't be scored so in terms of creating against the so called 'bus parkers' we're doing enough, just finishing the task is hurting us much more than seems fair to me. As things balance themselves out over the season I think we're due plenty of things to go in our favour from here on out.

Listened to first half o radio, and saw 2nd on telly.
Seems we battered them 0-0. Unfortunately we still only get the 1 point.
Once again, can't believe the super biased commentators and pundits. Even worse, the sh*te refereeing.
All to be expected, but we done well apart from scoring, and need to continue this sort of form into spuds game. 3 points there and our season may be onthd mend.
