Liverpool 3-0 Huddersfield Town: In game and Post Match discussion
      Oct 28, 2017 01:59:15 pm

Anfield waiting for some forgotten magic

Starting XI: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Sturridge.

Subs: Karius, Grujic, Klavan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Robertson, Solanke.

Georginio Wijnaldum returns to the starting line-up as Liverpool make two changes for this afternoon’s Premier League encounter with Huddersfield Town at Anfield.

The Netherlands midfielder joins Daniel Sturridge in coming back into the XI, with Emre Can dropping to the bench and Philippe Coutinho ruled out due to injury.

There's faith, there's loyalty and there's sticking your neck out for your players but I think Jürgen has gone too far here in playing both Mignolet and Lovren.

To have a performance like we did against Spurs and to allow things to continue is now a lose, lose situation for the lads and himself. Win and we'll still question this decision, lose and the sh*t is going to hit the fan like never before imo.

I hope they repay his faith and loyalty, unfortunately I'm almost certain they wont. Should still be enough to beat these but I wont lie in thinking there's something set up to fail here.

Why the new signings (apart from Salah) not starting again? Klopp confuses me.

This. Liverpool could win 4-0 today and if he thinks that's the end of the matter and all the mishaps will be forgotten with those two then he's very wrong.

I think Klopp fu**ed up not with today's selection but over this Summer. This team needs to show our fans where their hearts are.

I will not judge anyone now because they are playing for my club but once this game is over, we might have different ideas.

      Come on Reds.

      Same old stubborn Jürgen.

If he continues playing the same players and we end with same results, Klopp is asking for trouble. :(

He knows there is no one good enough to take over at the moment from him at LFC and FSG are happy as he is not spending much anyway. It doesn't bother FSG if we win anything or not.

Must be some sort of appearance record by October this for Sturridge - genuinely one of the main surprise for me since the summer that Klopp seems to have so much faith in him.

Assume Firmino will be bolted out on to the left - don't think you get much from him there.  Chamberlain must be really struggling if he can't get a game when Mane, Lallana and Coutinho and Can aren't in the team.  Not looking like a good use of our 'warchest' is it.

Exactly mate FSG are primed to sell the club in the next 3 years for a massive profit so they are not concerned with our on field success.

Klopp should be very concerned though.
