Managed to get tickets for this one so hoping we get another goal fest.
However I would imagine it will be a lot tighter than the away leg as I doubt they will want to get spanked again.

In two minds if we should be rotating for this one as the lads still need to build rhythm attacking and confidence at the back but again I would like to see the likes of Woodburn, Solanke and Grujic given game time.

Battered them 7-0 without Henderson in the side so same again please reds. We need some quick tempo in that midfield and not players who slow it down by getting the ball from player A and passing it five yards sideways to player B.

Karius is our cup goalie so he starts.

This should be a straight forward comfortable win so I think we can afford to give a few players a rest. I'd take Matip and Moreno out so my back four would be trent, gomez, klavan, Robertson.

Midfield three would be Can, Wijnaldum and the Ox.  Ox is surely due a start now, he looked very sharp when he came on against Huddersfield and he wants to play in the middle so lets put him there and see what he can do.

Front three is a tricky one. I'd like to give Salah and firmino a rest too. So Woodburn and Coutinho come in- presuming our magician is fit to play.  Sturridge keeps his shirt but Solanke to get half an hour at least in the second half.

Play some of the youngsters in this one but have some of the senior players on the bench just in case, they are an utterly sh*t team, so even if we fielded our reserves we should win this comfortably.

Win this one and we've got a fairly easy road to getting out of the group I'd say. Ox has to start, and I'd sure enough get Robertson some game time. Unless he's pulled a Sakho and pissed off Jürgen, I'm not sure why he doesn't even make the bench. Poor kid has to be regretting making the move at this point.

Personally I’d swap Ox and Woodburn round in formation.

I’d also bring Henderson in for Can and Bobby for Coutinho.

Solanke Woodburn and Robertson wont start. Chamberlain could be 50/50

We saw a glimpse of Jürgen experimenting with 3 at the back in the second half against Huddersfield. I wonder if he might go this way again, it was certainly effective in breaking down the parked bus.

Something to look out for in future against the dross parking up.

I get the logic behind wanting to see Woodburn, Ox, Solanke, but  I'm guessing Karius, Robertson and TAA would be the only changes, despite the opposition. Agree with giving Phil more time to prepare for West Ham match.

On the other hand how cool would it be to give Brewster a spot on the bench and a runout if thins go similarly to the last match?

You know, of everything I read in newspapers, watching the match with two sets of commentators and social media, you are the first person I've seen mention the 3 at the back. I thought that's what I was seeing. So going forward (at least until Jan. 1), would the three be Gomez, Matip and Klavan?

Maybe Wednesday would be an ideal time to work on this under match conditions, although as I mention, am hoping to see TAA and Robbo s the outside backs (or wingbacks in this case).

thanks for reminding me about the (staggered) time change. You  may be right about Woodburn, although I reckon he'd choose 10 minutes as a sub with the first team over 90 or 900 minutes with the U19s. 

Not expecting a 7-0 again but I am expecting a win.  And with Sevilla having their second game against Moscow it should make that group table look pretty nice at full time.

Wouldn't make too many changes.  Karius, TAA, Moreno if he needs the rest.  Don't see the need to rush Coutinho back can't see much against Oxlade Chamberlain having a game.  Probably start Firmino and Salah then bring Sturridge and Solanke on for half an hour.

I wouldnt want to be over confident. Play the heavyweights and when we raced to a confortable margin then only we play those on the bench. At this juncture, we can't afford to stumble. get the max points and surge ahead and look forward to the tougher games.

No complacency, need to field a fairly strong side, on Wednesday night. A 3 or 4 goal margin, will do nicely.
