Fantastic result, quite flattering scoreline as we never looked that great to be honest. A professional job under difficult circumstances given all the injuries, and in an unusual formation.

I'm in awe of Salah, he's class even when he doesn't score.

      Boring?

I want carnage. Red cards. Injuries and a managerial bout on the sidelines.

      Typical Australian!

I'm impressed with Robertson. He looks comfortable and reliable. Happy that he lasted the whole game.

Haven't lost a home game in last 7 previous games. I would say a pretty decent home side that.

What do you say about a 1 - 5 home defeat?

I don't know. Two convincing looking wins, first Stoke, now Brighton, right? But when you look deeper you see a fragile team: if Migs gets the red card @Stoke and if Brighton makes the 2-3 we're in trouble. We need to win those games with more swagger.

Despite Countino's 1.5 goals he doesn't seem to make the next step. If I am LFC I let him go for big bucks in January.

Firminho does make that next step. He's developed into a multidimensional striker, more valueable than Mané.

Decent afternoon of sport. Big win in the league and Mark Selby out of the snooker.

:scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: Coutinho MOTM for that brilliant 4th and 5th goal. Add to that, the brilliant assist that gave us the 2nd goal.

Great result. 5 goals, Mo didn't even score and Mane wasn't even on the pitch. Hope we have our CB situation sorted out by Wednesday. Great to finally have some strength in depth towards the top of the pitch.

Lewis Dunk's done it again! He scored 2 own goals back at Anfield in the FA Cup in 2012!!! That's 3 career goals for Liverpool for Lewis Dunk!

Is he a scouser - or does he just like dunkin in scouse?

Thought Brighton tired and opened up towards the end allowing Coutinho to play a bit , but throughout the match, Firmino was consistent and put in a fine performance, MOTM for me! Great win!

Probably. He's scored two more goals for Liverpool than Aspas did in fairness.

That was a lot more like it. Missed the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half so not sure what happened with their goal, but overall I thought we played well. The defence looked slightly better than normal with only 1 actual CB in it, I thought.

Good to see Robertson doing well, hope we start to see a lot more of him. Good all round team performance in fact, pretty entertaining game as well. Biggest positive so far this season is that we are a lot better at breaking down teams that sit deep. That is mainly down to Salah and his movement, albeit today it was a set piece that set us on our way.

Only saw second half really thought our energy up top was fantastic and the rotation clearly justified. So hot when we break that fast . Excellent start to a busy period. Lets get CL qual sorted and then fxxk Fat head and bitters over next week
