I'm not usually one to get emotional, but that little video admittedly, strangely enough, brought tears to my eyes.

If ever there would be the chance to travel back in time, going to that era and watching that Liverpool team play and the Kop in full motion would be at the top of my list.

      It was special.
We never fully realised it at the time.  You don't.

That's a fact Skip, in the lfc tv documentary about that first FA cup win you can still see the sparkle in those players eyes and the pride in their voices, in particular Tommy when he mentions "when you look straight down you couldn't see a thing",
its as if it were yesterday and you feel it was too by the emotion in his voice,
Brilliant it is, love hearing all the ex players stories, our history.

      Thank you Tommy.

      BBC Sport reports ...

Tonight on Merseyside Sport from 6pm you can hear Liverpool's legendary keeper in an interview he did with BBC Radio Merseyside in 2012.

Sorry mate haven't seen anything mentioned about his funeral.

Unbelievable that the video of him talking in the street where he mentions about playing in the match the interviewer was talking about was retweeted by Iker Casillas!!

      RIP Tommy

Just come back from attending Tommy's funeral in Warrington. Great turnout, with the church crammed with family, friends, and Liverpool players and fans. Great to see and talk to some of my heroes from the great sixties team, Ray Clemence, Kevin Keegan, God, Gary McAlister,(Had my photo taken with each of these two pairs.) Ian St John, Ian Callaghan, Sir Roger Hunt, Chris Lawler, Phil Neal, Phil Boersma, and best of all Big Ron Yeats. Sadly Ron look like he isn't too aware of what is going on around him, but he will always be a giant to me. Great speech by the Liverpool F.C. chaplain, telling stories about Tommy and his colleague Roger Hunt when they used to travel to Anfield together from Warrington. Very moving when they played "You'll never walk alone" at the end of the service. Somehow meant more singing it for Tommy than it did on the Kop. I'm sure Tommy would've been absolutely chuffed.

R.I.P Tommy. A great player and a true gentleman.
