If Mignolet leaves, I wouldnt mind having Ward as #2 and probably sign Casillas on a free ;D for some experience!

I don't think Ward is #2 material or we'd have already seen Klopp stick him on the bench.

No idea, from what I know, just a medical or some sh*t.

Edit: oh, apparently, 2 year deal and 40k p/w. Would have been great to have him as our #2!!!

Nick Pope has been great this season. Problem with Nick Pope is he would challenge Karius for number one, rather just stay with Karius now.

Couldn't ever see Pope wanting to play second fiddle to anyone now that he's an established first teamer in the Premier League. Certainly doesn't have Karius's proactive tendencies either! On the Burnley front, I've thought Tarkowski has been really good for them this year. Can play it on the ground when asked as well.

Not really as that's what Mignolet's job currently is.

Sell Mignolet, then promote Ward up to number 2.

Ward would have been fantastic number 2, but he must be as rusty as a bronze bicycle in a rain forest with the lack of minutes this season.

My money would still be on him to do a better job than Migs.

Watched his game with U23 vs Everton.  He had a shaky game.  There were at least 2 times that the ball bounced off from his hands or chest, from weak shots, in to the space before him.  He was lucky that the CBs were there.

Doesn’t sound great but technically 2 saves there from shots on target. That’s a rarity for Migs so I will still put my money on Ward out of the 2 if it’s all the same like.

I get your view but bronze can't rust, so are you saying he's like brand new ?

Only really messed up when he dropped the ball but gathered it at the 2nd attempt. Nothing he could do about he goals. In fact, despite how good Karius has been lately, he made a bigger mistake with the Kolarov shot.

I agree, I think Becker would have saved that one at his near post. Karius is an improvement on Migs, no doubt about that but one on one with an attacker I always expect the attacker to score and as soon as the penalty was awarded I knew they'd as good as scored.

Did you all notice Klopp having a word with Becker at the end, he must have said "Forget about Roma, wouldn't you rather play behind a defence that can actually defend and in front of this amazing crowd?"

I thought he was good, but not as good as his YouTube bio funnily enough.

For the record - I don’t agree Karius made a bigger error. He misjudged BUT touched onto bar........Alisson dropped right in middle of the box.

He might well be better than Lorus.......but it wasn’t obvious last night.

Karius is starting to worry me a bit. He has been making some mistakes last few games. And I do like Alisson, he is very assured and rarely makes mistakes.

Keep him in Rome, no need to pay tens of millions for this guy when he's not really all that good and we already have Karius performing at the level he is.

Went down too early in Mo's 2nd goal allowing him the easy chip
Dropped the ball from a corner in a very dangerous area. Got lucky no one from us was around to tap it in
Firmino's 2nd from a corner it looked like he hesitated and was late to dive for the ball

Not much he can do on the others but you don't watch this game and come out thinking "wow, we should really get him".

Same as Ederson, just a bunch of hot air blown up his ass by people who overrate players on other teams. He also had awful games against us directly costing City goals, but if Karius makes a slight mistake where they don't even score, suddenly it's a big issue.

Too many key mistakes rather. Imagine if Migs had made those mistakes....
