Absolutely no justification in starting Gini given his performances in the last two games. Like playing with 10 men. Then again, it was still better than Can where it seemed like the opposition was playing with 12 men.

Glad that Milner and Henderson start in context of recent midfield displays.

Away at the John smiths stadium which is apt seeing as I'll be F***ing equally as pissed and as bitter as F**k as I was at our last two results if the lads don't get a result here.
      Come on reds.

I have to agree with you on this one.

Matip should have been dropped not VVD and Can not AOC. I agree with Gini's drop.

£75 million quids worth of defender sitting on the bench! Not sure how it's Matip who keeps his spot after his performance in the cup?

Don’t know what to think about that lineup, some good some not so good. Is VVD carrying a bit of an injury, just hope we get the win. 3 points are essential, but I also think we need a good performance to calm frayed nerves!

      With Milner as well.
Combined they’ve got the acceleration of a milk float 😳

I'm not worried with Milner because he had played some good attacking passes in 'recent' games when he started.

Think he’s got a slight Achilles problem, and being saved to make those headers against spuds that Lovren ran under 😳

I actually hope Hendo is advanced. Much better at the other end of the pitch than he is playing as a 6. Not saying he's the answer but he's a very good high presser and has had some very good assist stats in seasons he's played higher.

What a bad state our midfield is in at the moment,  though.

Van Dijk was struggling with an injury a few weeks ago already. Perhaps he was forced to come back earlier with both Lovren and Klavan out and Gomez needing a rest?

Anyone else see this turn into some kind of 3-4-3 with Milner mainly playing on the right? Could be completely wrong.

The fact that Can is in that line-up makes me so F***ing pissed though.

Not the greatest starting 11 but surely good enough to beat this lot, how on earth is VVD not starting this alongside Lovren?
Also Ox for Can after Saturdays mess.

Need the front 3 to be on form tonight and going for a comfortable 2-0 red win.

They've got 3 centre halves then, and no doubt this lad from Monaco is going to be the world's greatest defender.

Midfield are going to have to be on this tonight.  Front three are not going to be able to do this on their own.  No idea which of them is to provide the back up - would have preferred Oxlade Chamberlain to be honest.

Not sure if that's sarcasm but anyhow He's only just started his Liverpool career mate, there are clowns in our team that realisation should have happened some time ago & should have been binned long ago .
