Face it, if the ball is in the penalty box in injury time. Players will go over very very easily. See the games off at the other end of the field!

Seen that second one again, still not having that it's a pen. Lad's pulled out of the challenge and the contact is minimal. Shame Moss didn't have the balls to actually stick with the one decision he got right in the match.

Referee aside, thought we were very, very poor in that second half. Worrying how our midfield falls apart time after time when we get put under a bit of pressure.

Can somebody please explain to me how the f**k Lovren touching that ball makes Kane onside? When the initial ball was played Kane is offside anyway so therefore he's offside when the ball comes into his feet.

My thought exactly...isn't it when the ball is played?,  the linesman is using the offside a Rugby League interpretation of off side where you are back on if the opposition touches the ball.

In other news, thought Karius had his best game and was man of the match

Salah...feel so sorry for him. You score a goal like that on 90m and you have a right to think you've won it.

VvD was only trying to do what he's paid to do, defend and clear the ball. When he swings his foot he can't even see Lamela. That's just plain unlucky but it was a pen.

      Feeling sick

Kane's first penalty was not given offside because it was deemed that Lovren touched the ball last.

I'm a bit all over the place after that.

The second is never a pen in a billion years and the first offside or not kane dives

      Firstly Moss is a kn#b...
Diego mentioned stats about not seeing out a game from a winning position,  I'd like to see the stats for shots taken to goals scored, I bet we are way down.
IMO we won't win a league without a proper striker ie Aubameyang, it's costing us not putting games to bed.

Agree we could do with a striker.
But today we were winning with 90 minutes up.
Just didn't close it out ... again .. imho have to look at midfield/defense for not managing that.

If the FA or UEFA or even FIFA dont investigate that linesman then the credibility comes into question. First pen kane is offside by 3 yards the linesman still gives the pen. Then the 2nd is a complete dive. He wasnt touched. Ive watched a lot of matches and that was the most blatant, biased bullshit penalties ive ever seen. Its actually worse than those crooked, bribery matches that go on the lower league matches in S.America or Africa where the warlords own the teams. Absolutely robbed. Spurs should be embarrassed.  They cheated plain and simple. I actually used to like Kane. I thought he was a stand up player like a Messi. Now hes a f***in' cheat and will always be a cheat. That linesman needs to be sent to Sunday leagues and fined and banned. Utter disgrace by Spurs, Kane and Pochettino for going and congratulating the linesman after the match. Just a f***in disgrace.

Missed the game but catching up on highlights. I've long said Mignolet is better than Karius, so if Karius has had a great game then fair play to him. I'd happily give him the plaudits for it. With Karius now #1, we need him to start performing. Hopefully a sign of improvements. Did get to see a save or two from him, and I've seen the penalty save which was great too. Fully anticipated the shot!

On the positive side, we've lost to worst teams. Best thing to do is sack up and go get 3 points in the next match.

The real reason this needs investigating is to see if anybody had any bets on Kane scoring a penalty in the last 10 minutes. There could be some kind of match fixing when considering the ref initially said no penalty then the linesman said something. It's quite unheard of.

Never should have taken Mane off,Took away goal scoring options, and replaced them with the Ox...

Midfield went missing second half, Can more then anyone else...

The Gini/Ox subs should have been for Milner and Can and I would have bought on Matip on for Henderson and have the option to push VVD in front of the back four (The Henderson role) of TAA,Matip,Lovern,Robinson...

Klopp's mistake was not reacting to the position Spurs were having in Midfield quickly enough

Agree, but how would Klopp know Ox was useless after putting him in!

Sore one - but I don’t agree with the boss or suggestion we were cheated.

We were really poor second half.

Karius didn't have a great game but he didn't have a Mignolet game either.

Something strange when he ignored linesman when he said it was offside but listened to him on the VVD one. Ignored linesman on Salah too.

Result was probably fair.  The way they got there wasn't.

In hindsight Klopp probably did pick the right midfield because Wijnaldum and Oxlade Chamberlain didn't help out at all when they came on despite being 60 minutes fresher.

It was just that Henderson and Milner didn't have the 90 minute legs.

But that is Spurs strength position so always up against it there.

Should have gone in more than 1-0 up and maybe could have came away with all three points.

Interesting to see how the Arsenal-Spurs game goes now and how that affects things.

Pleased with our first half, pleased with certain parts of our game, but disappointing how it all worked out.

Man of the match? Men and women of the match more like for every one of those 50,000 Liverpool supporters for keeping their nerve and not running onto the pitch, chasing and then absolutely crippling the referee and the linesman so that they never take to a football field again.

I would have cheered them on like some sort of blood thirsty Benny Hill sketch. A pair of f**king deviants.

True. Thought Firmino wasn't his usual self - if we had another option that Jürgen is willing to play up there, might have shaded it.

Dermot Gallagher is a bellend sticking up for his mate Moss, right so as I understand it Kane was onside for the first pen because Lovren touched the ball even tho he was a yard off side when the ball was initially played to him ? BS

Accidentally voted VVD for MOTM (but he was immense), should have been Salah.
