And in the end - we WANT to be in this competition. All of us are paying close attention to our league standing even though we know first place is out of reach, because we want to be in this again. Yes it helps us with recruitment and there's cash for the club in it - but the main thing (or so I thought) is to compete in it and play matches, hopefully winning, against the biggest clubs in Europe.

That's Barca, Real, Bayern, Juve. Obvious we'll play whoever we draw and yes, the goal is to win the whole thing, but what do we always say about the Mancs and their easy draws? I want us to show we can beat anybody, like we did against City in the league.

There are plenty of opponents in this competition to respect, but none for us to fear.

Personally don't fear anyone,as the cliche goes if you want to go all the way & lift the European cup then you have to beat the best & honestly we are one of the best still in it.

I'd like to say i fear nobody left in the competition but the truth is that i do. I don't fear PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City or Roma.

Who i do fear are Juventus and Manchester United.

When we play teams that love to play football the right way we are more than a match for any of them, hence my lack of fear of the big guns.

It's against the defensively minded sides that i fear we could come undone. Certain teams are prepared to sit low and hope they get one or two chances to kill. It's our inability to break these sides down that is my only source of apprehension.

I genuinely believe we will win the Champions League this Season, i just hope we can avoid those two sides that are experts at stifling the beautiful game of football.

I don't want to play Man Utd (hopefully that will not be an option) only due to the reason that we knocked them out in Europe a couple of seasons back and I think those kind of big events tend to balance out - so more of a superstition thing rather than a fear thing.

Think a Barcelona tie would be difficult because the media would turn it in to us trying to get revenge on Coutinho's new club and think it might lose focus.

Shakhtar apart - I think we're capable of beating every side just as equally as they are probably capable of giving us a walloping.  I think we had our luck in the last 16 draw and group stage - that won't happen again.

Isn't it great to talk about this after the weekend I just had, travelling to Paris to watch England get stuffed by the French and hearing us roll over against a long ball utd.

United having a hard night. Not going according to plan so far but in truth this United side aren't going to blow teams away especially at this level.
