First season, it's Salah. Has outscored Suarez.
Suarez record here: 13 (4)...39(17)...44(30)...37(31).
Salah record so far: 45(40).
So obviously on goals alone Mo is the clear winner. But Suarez at his best was unplayable to almost every defense, and scored some unbelievable goals, from very little. Very attacking coach in Rodgers. Suarez was all over the attack, came from all kinds of angles. Dangerman in almost every situation. Creative, slippery, cunning. Fantastic player for us.
Mo is along the same lines but is predominately a right sided attacker but left footed. Unpredictable, pacy, slippery. Not as cunning or as contrived as Suarez. But can make a goal from very little. Bit more subtle than Suarez, bit sharper in the box. Slightly better than Suarez with interplay. Better temprement, no surprise there.
Almost to close to call. Yes Mo gets it on his first season. We'll have to look at what Mo does next season for a final call on it.
Good topic tho JD.
