Liverpool 5-2 AS Roma: In game and Post Match discussion

Well we are always interesting!

It's still a great performance and result. But obviously we have given them a sniff when it should have been all over.

Lovren was having a really good game, but he always has a mistake in him. He got away with the first one, booting it off one of them and nearly back into our own net, but not the second.

I thought the penalty was very soft.

I was pissed off at Salah going off at the time - not cos I thought it might turn the game, but just cos taking off a player who's on a hat trick in European Cup semi-final seems really likely to piss them off. Fair play to Mo - great pro, laughed it off, but I don't see the need to risk pissing him off with Real etc sniffing round him. As it happened it also did affect the game - our attacking threat went from huge to tiny almost as soon as he went off. Shouldn't have mattered though if we'd defended better.

Shouts out to Milner and Firmino for MOTM candidates, but obviously it has to be Mo for 2 absolutely gorgeous goals.

We are still on course for the final - fancy us to score over there and then that should be that. So not too pissed off. But naturally we aren't doing it the easy way!

5-2 is worse than 3-0 by the way, don't go assuming this is the same as 3-0. There is an away goal to consider and we are nowhere near through to the final yet, due to Klopp taking Salah off. We saw how it affected us agains West Brom and we had to see it again today. I didn't care about West Brom game, but this game was much more important.

Doom monger. We go into a CL semi final 2nd leg with a 3 goal lead. There are no givens in football as in anything, but christ cheer up! At this rate if we win 4-2 in the final you'll still be upset we shipped 2 goals

The only thing Klopp should look at now is playing klav with VVD...Lovren just can't keep it together for 90 minutes..

Would sooner play Gomez and VVD than Klavan and VVD

I've got this really cracking looking girlfriend. We've been together for over 35 years. She's a bit mad, though, unpredictable. One minute she can be scintillating, exciting, and I feel I can take on the world with her. The next, she'll go cold on me, she'll get twitchy, and act a bit crazy for no apparent reason - and that makes me anxious. It's a rollercoaster ride with her. 

But boy is she worth it

Got to look at at something different. Lovren just seams to make the wrong decision when the heat is on and the heat will be on in Roma. Lost count of the number of goals we have conceded where Lovren could've done better.

At the start of the game, I'd have taken your hand off for 5-2.

It would cos they realised they had nothing to worry about any more. No threat on the break and more pressure on the dodgy defence and keeper.

See last Saturday Vs WBA for further proof.

I understand Mo is our best player, but you are seriously underestimating Mane and Firmino if you think a defense has nothing to worry about if Mo is not on the field.

And against WBA, they got their 1st goal on a corner, with Salah on the field standing outside the box and the tying goal from a free kick headed in a few feet from the goal, not something Salah would be impacting either.
