This isn't actually sourced by Bild...it's their speculation based on the L'equipe article. Bayern aren't in for him from any credible source.

The hardest part about this from what I've read is that while he wants to come here, he doesn't' want to go against his club and they want to keep him for another year and with him having 2 years left on his contract, they don't have to sell. I don't think he's going to cause a fuss like VVD did.

I'm seriously hoping thats the case, that the deal is done and its just the finer details pending!

I don't know that I'd go that far unfortunately. I'm getting the feeling this one is going to be like the VVD or even worse, the Keita saga where we bat eyes all summer, but nothing comes of it for this next season.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do we need this fella?

Take into account we stick with 4 3 3 and the lads we have signed already

I've never seen him kick a ball Bri but judging from the folks on here he's quality and I'm all for buying as many quality players as we can.

Without doubt I suppose im yrying to figure out where hed fit into that system we use. Would he form the mid 3 with Keita and Fabinho?

Yes but he could also play in Mane and Salah's position.

I think that is most likely.

Ox out for half a season and unfortunately there is no guarantee he would capture previous form. Lallana is up against Father Time, who as we all know, is undefeated.

I should have known better than to let Twitter rumours about "done deal" get me excited.

Yepp, and we always cry for creative midfielders against a bus parking team. Atleast I do.
The lad can score and create goals. I say let's get him. Even if it's only to have more depth in squad.

He gives us an option to play 4-2-3-1 that could become a 4-2-2-2.. pairing with Bobby.. Mane and Salah wide.. Keita and Fabinho in the middle

And the good thing is our new CMs were excelling in those formations at their previous clubs !!

France have been on record before saying they don't want players transfers to get in the way of international commitments

If anything it may be them putting the breaks on it for now.

I think this one happens personally

Ultimately it has nothing to do with the National team. Also if the National team are attempting to block it then it’s not in their interests because they will have a player unsettled over where he will be playing next season, France won’t want that going into the World Cup so if anything they would be encouraging it to be sorted and out the way ASAP.

They've done it in the past..

They aren't blocking it and won't build it like that to the player.

      More likely

Please either sort it before you join up to the world cup squad or put it behind you until after the world cup. We want to win this and want everyone's mind here and now with what we want to achieve

We won't know mate, just going on what Dechamps has said before.

Like I say there may well be an agreement in place between the club and the player and we will wait because he's the one Jürgen wants like with Keita or Virgil. The player because he knows that will be happy to wait and put it to the back of his mind as well.

This one just strikes me a little like Keita..  quality player and no real links to anyone else but us.. like his agent and him have their minds set and any other link is going nowhere

      We'll see
