That is a very good idea!

      He's massive for our play!

Might see him coming on in the 90th minute to take a goal kick  ;D

Hes on 4 yellows and it might be an idea to use the game in midweek as the game to get that up to 5. Miss the Villa game and back for City!

Fernandinho did it right getting himself sent off on Saturday and missing the league cup game.

Monster player is Fab and I hope he doesnt miss the City game because that would be a blow.

Yellows dont count in Carabou cup towards league . Would play him Wednesday and rest Saturday

Fernandinho is out of the cup game due to his sending off so it will work both ways.

That is unless theyve changed the rules this year, which is possible!

They have changed the rules hence my rationale

Which takes ages to kick after going from one side to another.

You sure it ain't because he's promised to build something here but in reality he's f**king off somewhere else?

      WOOOW!

I think it is not an exaggeration to call this guy the best CDM in world-football right now. Defends like a center-half, presses like no other, knows when to foul, frustratingly good in the air, distributes the ball in one of the most efficient ways I've seen a CDM do it in recent years and he packs an underused rocket of a right foot.

Need a penalty slotted home? Call Fab. Need somebody to fill in at RB or CB? Call Fab! Need to punish City while Guarda is whining on the touchline? Call Fab!!

Great goal yesterday and great performance.  It was a Steven Gerrard beauty that one.

Interesting looking back at his stats with Monaco where he would regularly be weighing in with goals.  About 1 in every 4 or 5 games over his last three season there.

I obviously wasn't an avid follower of his career at Monaco but I assume he played further forward there or maybe took set pieces?

Penalties I think mate. Sure he was their main taker and has buried every one hes took. Think hes took one for us and despatched it.

He did take set pieces there, including penalties. In fact I think he had a perfect record with pens in his final season there. He took one in a preseason game for us last season, the one in Dublin, and missed. I don't think he took another one until the Charity Shield this season (which he took very well, btw).  I don't reckon he's going to get the ball from Millie or Mo, however.

As for style of  play, Monaco used twin holding mids most of the time so he and the other guy (no idea) would alternate on going forward or staying back. But to me, as the season has gone one, while there is no questioning his importance to our defence, we still see him creeping forward and being part of the attack, yesterday being the poster child of examples.

Being as he is banned against Brighton the rest may work in our favour..

Not good but we should be able to cope, Hendo or Milner can play that role then we get the added bonus of Klopp being forced to play an attacking midfielder.

On what planet can Milner play the Fabinho role?

He has played DM in the past hasn't he so this planet, in any case Hendo is perhaps the most natural replacement for Fabinho, but I reckon Milner could do it as well and how about pushing Virgil or Joe Gomez into that role? My point being that yes we will miss Fabinho but we have the squad to cope.

Could miss 10 games!!!It’s pathetic to say, cos injuries are going to happen, but i really worry these are the sort of things we just cant afford. Just don’t think we’ve the depth.
