Agree - he had a good half, looks fresher than most of the other 11, of course he's the youngest.Saying that, Milner was probably the one matching him for being industrious.Virgil looked commanding on his return to the lineup, and Joel Matip was composed in defense.Ojo continues to impress for me with little touches and runs, plus strong on the ball, but nothing was happening in the final third during that first 45 minutes. Sturridge and Origi not really getting anywhere. Fabinho looked comfortable, Clyne and Moreno were active and Karius, while doing nothing wrong, is getting heckled by some fans every time he touches the ball.0-0 at the break, btw.
If there was one thing that I took from today's friendly is that we need someone in midfield that can lock defenses... Lallana is not it, or another quality striker and have Firmino be that playerBoth Origi and Sturridge are pretty much out the door, Solanke ... No real future at the club...Next 20 plus days will be intresting
This early on in the pre-season is utterly pointless, and as a fan event, it's a waste of time. Half the players are going through the motions knowing that they are leaving or won't be considered as part of the squad. They are playing for their futures elsewhere. Only reason Klopp is playing them is to flog them to another club. Then there are the other's who are merely starting to refresh themselves on fitness and beginning to adjust to the club.Think some of you are reading too much into these games. I check the result, check the highlights if we score a goal.. nothing much else of interest right now.
Seems like there are a couple of passes the creator missed out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTlEVEQ5PwsOverall, another very good showing imo! Anyone here not impressed yet?
Right now I think he's keeping it simple and keeps the ball moving all the time, reading the game pretty well. That tackle was a quite a hard tackle where he got summoned by the ref.
Gini Wijnaldum, Harry Wilson and Danny Ings were absent from training this morning.
I have a feeling Gini might leave for first team football.Hopefully not as he is a top lad and useful squad player.
Who's to say how long it'll take Naby/Fab to settle in.Emre is gone.So would be really surprised if we let Gini go this summer. But, you never know I guess.Would let Lallana go before I'd see Gini leave.
Absolutely this regarding your point on Gini. An injury to one of our midfielders, or failure to settle and/or perform means that the door is wide open for opportunities at this club. Yes, at present he may not be in most people's first eleven but there are so many variables that could and probably will happen which means he'll get his opportunity to perform just like last season and the season before. That said, like every other midfielder at Liverpool, he's going to have to fight for it that bit harder this season.

With Ward possibly joining Leicester in the next few days, I wonder if Ward will actually be part of the squad tonight? If not, Grabara or Karius to start?
Mummy, what's a markovic ?
You're right Plus is Wijnaldum still injured or is he out? Hope not!
