What a player keita looks, I know it's pre-season but if he's finding Sturridge in that kind of space then I think he's gonna love mo, sadio and Bobby.

Looking forward to this season alot

Keita has basically looked like our best player in all three pre-season games. Pure class. That ball he killed stone dead followed by the chipped pass towards the end of the match was sublime. Wouldn't be at all surprised if this lad runs Salah close for player of the season. I also think he will help us forget about Coutinho. I know he isn't a number 10 but he will break lines with his running and create plenty of goals and goal chances.

reminds me a bit of mini vieira/yaya toure too with his running.

      How was he?
I missed the game but he has all the attributes we look for in the team: pace, skills and energy. But it seems that he is not impactful enough and his decision making is quite poor.

Ideally we'll have the following starting 11 this season:

                                                         Alisson

           TAA              Matip/Lovren                 VVD                      Robertson

                                      Keita                    Fabinho

                     Mane                   Fekir                     Salah

                                            Firmino

With this team we can trash every weak opposition, in more important games we could use an extra DM (Hendo/Georginio) and go for a 4-3-3.

Very good. Offered width and was positionally aware, kept things simple, made good runs and scored :D A lot better than throwing Origi or Solanke out wide.

Origi has been utter sh*te since the first minute of pre season. For somebody needing to prove themselves to stay at the club, he isn’t doing a very good job. Complete opposite to Sturridge, who seems to have gotten a bit of fight about him now.
Have no time for Origi, he’s obviously not fussed about putting the effort in. Waste of a wage and a waste of Klopps and the coaches time.

Liverpool confirm 29-man squad for USA tour

      Chris Shaw
      @__ChrisShaw
Liverpool have named a 29-man squad for their tour of the United States and participation in the International Champions Cup.

The Reds depart for America in the early hours of Saturday morning and will visit Charlotte, East Rutherford and Ann Arbor during an eight-day trip.

Jürgen Klopp’s side have three ICC fixtures on their schedule: Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, Manchester City next Wednesday and Manchester United next Saturday.

Liverpool squad: Karius, Clyne, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Lallana, Shaqiri, Robertson, Origi, Solanke, Matip, Phillips, Jones, Markovic, Ojo, Woodburn, Kelleher, Camacho, Chirivella, Grabara.

Danny Ings will not travel and will instead remain at Melwood for extra training after missing several sessions since pre-season began due to blisters and a minor ankle injury.

Summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri is set to join up with the group in time for the New Jersey leg of the trip, at the conclusion of his break after representing Switzerland at the World Cup.

Thanks WAHS, 29 growing to 30 players. That's a lot in the training squad. I wonder if for this first match they might change the whole side at 45 minutes again since it comes so close to the Blackburn match? At some point in there they'll want to start pushing starters to go a little deeper into the match. They certainly will have more than enough players for it (and 3 goalkeepers). Good for Phillips, Camacho and Jones that they all get to go. No Ings (thought it was more than blisters) or Ryan Kent, but Pedro Chirivella and Lazar Marakovic somewhat surprisingly will be involved. Wish I was going to one of the matches but, and not to cry poor, they come at a bad time for me and my family and the prices.....are not family-friendly.

He's back on his holiday now.

Don't be joining up for another week.

Mane and Salah won't feature tonight from what the gaffer said too. Or at least if they do it will be late for a brief run out
