Has nothing to do with being blocked by De Gea. Kepa is 23/24 and has made 1 appearance, not even playing friendlies. His first call up came because Pepe Reina was injured.
He isnāt in the potential bracket anymore, near on mid twenties isnāt potential, and for that money he has to already be performing at a top level. 6/7 clean sheets last season in a team thatās relatively defensive and relatively strong. Heās bounced around a few different clubs, to the lower division within the last couple years and is being vastly overrated by people that probably hadnāt even heard of him a few days ago. Oh, and his kicking is piss poor.
Heās not close to playing for Spain because he does stuff like this;

LFCReds logic:
A goalie from another team makes a mistake: He is not very good
Alisson joins Liverpool: We need to remember all goalies make mistakes
Bilbao finishing 16th out of 20 does not make them strong and at age 23 (won't turn 24 for another 7mths) has basically the same amount of starts (53) in a top league as Alisson does (59) at age 25. Alisson is not "proven at all levels" any more or any less than Kepa is, and both come with considerable amount of risk. Alisson giving up 3 goals on what, 7 shots? in the world cup is not saying much.
I am not saying Kepa is worse, equal or better than Alisson, but people get a little butt hurt when someone is not calling Alisson world class.
